Perfect for both indoor use and overnight guests, this air mattress promises comfort without breaking the bank. With a range of positive features backed by user reviews, it's worth examining the advantages and disadvantages of this product to determine if it meets your needs. ## Advantages 1. **Integrated Air Pump**: The built-in pump eliminates the need for a separate device, making inflation and deflation swift and straightforward. 2. **Affordable Pricing**: Offers an economical solution compared to many other air mattresses in the market. 3. **Convenient Storage**: Comes with a built-in storage compartment for the power cord, reducing clutter. 4. **Adjustable Firmness**: Easily adjust the firmness of the mattress by rotating the air valve knob for a personalized sleep experience. 5. **Durable Design**: Engineered to be durable and withstand regular use. 6. **Manual Pump Alternative**: Features a manual pump option, ideal for use in non-electric settings, such as camping. 7. **Comfortable Surface**: The brushed surface adds an extra layer of comfort for a good night’s sleep. 8. **Stays Inflated**: The mattress maintains its firmness throughout the night without significant air leakage. 9. **Size Accuracy**: Inflates to the full size as advertised, unlike some competing products. 10. **Quick Deflation**: The internal pump also aids in fully deflating the mattress, making it easy to store again. ## Disadvantages 1. **Surface Texture**: Some users found the convex rows on the sleeping surface to be slightly uncomfortable. 2. **Air Loss**: It may lose some air overnight, requiring occasional reinflation. 3. **Noisy Pump**: The pump, while quieter than others, can still be noisy during operation. 4. **Folding Challenges**: Difficulties in folding the mattress back to its original boxed form, especially for larger sizes. 5. **Packaging Issues**: Concerns over shipping without proper storage packaging, affecting storage solutions post-purchase. 6. **Limited Camping Use**: Not ideal for camping where electrical outlets are unavailable, despite the manual pump option. 7. **Pillow Comfort**: Raised pillow area may not be comfortable for all users and might require additional support. 8. **Potential for Leaks**: As with all air mattresses, there's a risk of developing leaks over time if not handled carefully. 9. **Storage Care**: Over-tight folding can cause rips, stressing careful storage. 10. **Pump Speed**: While effective, the pump is reportedly slower than some users would prefer. ## Conclusion The Intex Dura-Beam Standard Pillow Rest Classic Air Mattress Series with Internal Pump stands out for its affordability and user-friendly features, making it a solid choice for temporary sleeping arrangements. While it has its shortcomings, like potential overnight air loss and storage challenges, the overall comfort and convenience make it an excellent option for many buyers. Considering its pros and cons, this air mattress provides great value for its price. ## FAQ 1. **How long does it take to inflate the mattress?** - It takes approximately 2 minutes and 12 seconds to fully inflate using the built-in pump. 2. **Can the firmness be adjusted?** - Yes, you can adjust the firmness by letting some air out using the air valve knob. 3. **Does the mattress come with a warranty?** - It is recommended to check the retailer's policy as warranty details can vary based on the purchase location. 4. **Is the air pump noisy?** - The pump is quieter than some other models, though it still produces noise during operation. 5. **Can it be used for camping?** - It can be used for camping if you're near an electricity source or have a manual pump. 6. **What size is the mattress once inflated?** - The mattress is true to its size description when fully inflated. 7. **How should it be stored when not in use?** - It's best to store it with a small amount of air inside and folded loosely, avoiding tight folds. 8. **Is it suitable for everyday use?** - While primarily designed for temporary use, it can be used more regularly with proper care. 9. **Does it stretch or deform over time?** - Minimal stretching may occur initially, but it won't significantly affect performance or cause leaks. 10. **What should I do if it leaks?** - Identify the leak and use a repair kit to patch it, which is typically included or can be purchased separately.

Title: Awesome and Affordable
Content: This is an awesome airbed at a very affordable price. Amazon delivered it the day after I ordered it. So I opened it up to test it out. It is so ingeniously simple. There are no parts other than the bed. The air pump is integrated into the head of the bed. It includes a convenient built-in storage compartment for the 110 volt AC plug that has a door to keep everything neatly secured. The pump has a large air vent with an on/off switch. The air vent rotates clockwise and counterclockwise with the center position closed, clockwise position to fill the bed and counterclockwise position to drain the air. Just unfold the bed, plug it into a wall outlet, turn on switch on, and rotate the knob clockwise. I timed the process to see how long it would take to fill and empty the bed. It took just 2 minutes12 seconds to fill, and I fount it a bit too firm for me so I let a little of that air back out. Then it took just 2 minutes 30 seconds to completely empty the bed, and the pump sucks all the air out so it is easy to fold up and put away again. this bed costs no more than most manually inflated airbeds and about half the price of many of the competing automatically inflated beds. I've owned manually inflated airbeds and they are not that convenient. You have to have a separate pump and the valve you fill them through is not nearly as large as what is on this bed, so they take a long time to fill and empty. They also require a lot of manual pressing and squeezing to get all the air out. This bed eliminates all of that. I do think if it would be more comfortable if it had a flatter sleeping surface. The bed has several convex rows that feel bumpy to lay on, but it's not uncomfortable and you can easily adjust the firmness of the bed by simply rotating the air valve knob to let a bit of air out. It seems durable, but only time will tell. It is truly well thought out and engineered. I'm very happy with this product.

Title: The built in pump makes all the difference!
Content: If you’re looking for a good air mattress that is versatile in its use at home, get this one. It has a built in air pump that connects to wall outlet (so probably not good for camping), it inflates very well and impressively deflates the air mattress perfectly. It is comfortable, I’ve slept in it at least ten times now. It does not leak, it stretches a tiny bit but not enough to think it leaked. It’s easy to store. High quality product in my opinion. And super easy to use. The mattress height is good, no need for anything bigger but wouldn’t go any smaller.

Title: Love the internal pump and pillow!
Content: I bought my first air mattress years ago, this exact one, but sadly had to throw it away since I folded it too tight and caused rips in the fabric so it was leaking. Therefore, my number one storage tip is to leave a very small amount of air in the mattress and just barely fold it and then store it in a trash bag. DO NOT FOLD IT TIGHTLY AND DO NOT PUT IT BACK INTO THE BOX, you will regret it, like I did. I liked the first one so much, I decided to buy another one, and it did not disappoint. Used it for camping in October, and it was comfortable, although it became a little deflated overnight, and I had to pump it again. Thankfully that took less than 5 minutes since the internal pump is amazing and fast! The pillow bump by itself is not too comfortable, but with another pillow, has an extra bump to support my neck. I also really enjoy the alternative hole for a manual pump. It will be extremely handy when I camp in a non-electric campsite. Can't wait to use this air mattress again next summer! Highly recommend it.

Title: Easy to use
Content: Bought this to use until I got my real mattress. This works awesome. East to plug in and use. Cheap I put it on a bed frame and it looks just like a real mattress with all the blankets on it. Comfortable and the cat has not popped it making biscuits on it.

Title: Hated blow up mattresses until this one
Content: Previously, I had bad experiences with air mattresses. They were bulky, heavy to move; I often lost the pump and overall they deflated. We had guests visiting and I grabbed this because it was cheap. But, its quality is better than I expected! Nobody had issues with it, it stayed firm all night, the pump is built in and quickly inflated and it even barely off-gassed a smell. Overall, super pleased with this and would absolutely buy again.

Title: Be aware that it comes WITHOUT box or anything to store it in - just cellophane wrapper
Content: The air mattress is fine. I needed one for the back of my pickup truck for camping that wasn’t too high and this Intex fit the bill. It inflated just fine and is as comfortable as an air mattress can be - so okay. I am kicking myself for not picking it up at a big box store, however, because when they gave the warning that it would be shipped in its packaging, I assumed that they would slap a mailing label on the outside of the Intex box and ship it that way. Unfortunately, that is not what the warning meant. They shipped me a mattress wrapped in cellophane- like it does inside the Intex box when new - inside a huge Amazon box. So, I have an air mattress and nothing to store it in when it isn’t in use. Over the past 30 years, we have always kept our air mattresses stored in the boxes they came in. I would have been fine with a fabric ditty bag if they didn’t want to ship it in the Intex box (3 of which would have easily fit inside the Amazon box). Now, I am going to have to buy something to store it in, adding to the cost and also defeats the supposed benefit to the environment of not shipping it in the Intex box.

Title: Good buy and good night!
Content: Excellent air matress. It is actually queen size once inflated. We've had ones that once inflated were not the size as advertised. Air pump is much quieter than previous ones we've had, although, a little slower. Does a good job in deflating mode. Gives you time to get the seams aligned nicely for folding. Nice that ir can be inflated manually if you are not near a plug-in. Only beef is the folding instructions. May work for the smaller versions but no good for the queen. Its best to just examine the existing creases and try to fold it as it was originally boxed. Great price. Would definitely recommend this one.
