**Introduction** The Intex Raised Airbed Mattress with Built-in Pump, Dura-Beam Plus Pillow, Twin is a popular inflatable bed option for those seeking comfort and convenience in a portable design. Ideal for camping trips, guest accommodations, or any situation where a temporary sleeping solution is needed, this mattress combines innovative technology with practical features. Boasting Fiber-Tech construction, a built-in electric pump, and a soft, velvety exterior, this air mattress aims to provide users a restful sleep experience. In this review, we will explore the advantages and disadvantages based on user feedback. **Advantages** 1. **Quick Inflation**: The built-in electric pump allows for rapid inflation, with the bed being fully ready in about 3.25 minutes . 2. **Comfort**: Users report the mattress to be comfortable enough for both kids and adults, with a soft, velvety sleeping surface and built-in pillow . 3. **Portability**: Comes with a carry bag for easy transport, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use . 4. **Durability**: The Fiber-Tech construction ensures the mattress maintains its shape and firmness even after extended use . 5. **Stability**: Raised edges and sufficient height (16.5 inches) enhance stability and ease of getting in and out of bed . 6. **Capacity**: Supports a weight capacity of up to 600 pounds, providing ample room for a single adult or child . 7. **Minimal Deflation**: Many users noted that the mattress holds air well overnight, requiring only minimal top-ups . 8. **Compact Storage**: The bed deflates quickly and folds efficiently for compact storage, fitting back into its bag easily . 9. **Cost-Effective**: Offers good value for money, providing features found in more expensive models at a reasonable price . 10. **Noise Level**: The pump’s noise level is acceptable during inflation, contributing to a pleasant setup experience . **Disadvantages** 1. **Position of Intake Valve**: The intake valve is poorly positioned at the pillow area, causing pillows to fall off during sleep . 2. **Deflation Issues**: Some users experienced significant deflation after several months of use . 3. **Ribbed Surface**: The corrugated top surface can be uncomfortable for some users, making it difficult to use their own pillows . 4. **Size Limitations**: Those accustomed to larger mattresses found the twin size to be too narrow for optimal comfort . 5. **Wobbliness**: Users mentioned the mattress becomes wobbly with movement, suggesting it could benefit from more stability . 6. **Chilliness**: The mattress surface can become chilly during the night, requiring an additional mattress pad for warmth . 7. **Durability Concerns**: Despite Fiber-Tech claims, its longevity is questioned with some mattresses failing to hold air after frequent use . 8. **Awkward Built-in Pillow**: The raised pillow design may not suit all sleeping preferences . 9. **Electric Dependency**: Requires access to an electrical outlet for operation, limiting use in remote camping areas without power . 10. **Ease of Deflation**: While convenient, the built-in pump might deflate all air too quickly when trying to make minor adjustments . **Conclusion** The Intex Raised Airbed Mattress with Built-in Pump offers a blend of comfort and convenience suitable for various sleeping arrangements. While it boasts impressive features like quick inflation, portability, and durability, certain design flaws such as the valve placement and deflation issues may deter long-term satisfaction for some users. Nonetheless, given its cost-effectiveness and practicality, this air mattress remains a viable option for temporary sleeping solutions. **FAQ** 1. **How long does it take to inflate the mattress?** The built-in electric pump inflates the mattress fully in approximately 3.25 minutes . 2. **Is the mattress comfortable for side sleepers?** While overall comfort is noted, the built-in pillow might not suit all side sleepers. Using an additional pillow may improve comfort . 3. **Does it hold air throughout the night?** Yes, many users report that it holds air well overnight, though some experience deflation issues after prolonged use . 4. **Can it accommodate two adults?** The twin size is suitable for one adult. If greater space is needed, consider the queen size . 5. **What is the weight limit of the mattress?** The mattress can support up to 600 pounds . 6. **Is the mattress noisy during inflation?** The noise level is considered acceptable and not overly intrusive . 7. **What can I do if the surface feels cold?** Adding a mattress pad can help mitigate the chilliness of the surface . 8. **How compact is the mattress when deflated?** It deflates and folds easily, allowing it to fit back into the carrying bag for storage . 9. **Is there a warranty on the mattress?** Warranty information often varies by retailer or region, so it is best to confirm with the point of purchase. 10. **Can the bed be used without electricity?** Unfortunately, the built-in pump requires electricity, limiting usage in non-powered settings .

Title: Ok day 1
Content: This will be a progressive review over a week: SUPER easy to inflate. If you’ve ever had a waterbed, you know the inflation routine: pop, shake, repeat. Took maybe 2 mins. Did 2/3. Bounced about. Let it a wee. Filled a bit more. Bounced. Now on the pedestal and ready for the night. Comfy AF!!! Morning 1 - thanks to the fill, bounce, set done yesterday when aired up, next to no deflation overnight. However, get a mattress pad. Sucker gets chilly. Morning 3 - ok huge design flaw. Put the intake on the FOOT or SIDE!! With this pillow thing? I cannot stop losing my pillows down the gap due to the intake. Really? Do better guys. It’s not hard Ok. It’s a keeper!! Besides where the intake is, this is well worth the price. No toss. No turn. No waking up uncomfy.

Title: Great Mattress!!
Content: I purchased this air mattress and I am well pleased with its performance. This mattress is easy to set-up and take down. It takes up minimal space. The made in pillow is very comfortable. The only down fall is that if left plugged into the wall socket it will have the tendency to deflate but, other than that. It’s a great mattress.

Title: Great price for a comfortable queen mattress.
Content: I needed a decent queen sized mattress for tent camping and this fit that need quite well without breaking the bank. It's not as fancy as some other mattresses costing much more but to me an air mattress is an air mattress, in that they aren't the most comfortable things in the world but this one I was able to sleep well on. It took me a minute to figure out that you turn the pump cylinder to switch it off and on and between inflate and deflate but once I got that down it was easy. I did not experience any loss of air over the weekend camping trip. The mattress seems durable yet folds up easily and more compact than you'd expect. To me it's the perfect balance of comfort, quality, and portability for camping. I'm quite satisfied with it, and the value is definitely good for the money.

Title: This was a great air bed.... Until it wasn't.
Content: This was a great air bed.... Until it wasn't. The built in pump works great, it is convenient and inflates the bed quickly. It is also great at deflating ALL of the air so you actually have a chance at getting it back in the bag, making it easy to store. It isn't light as a feather, but it's light enough that I don't struggle to put it away or carry it. The mattress is comfortable. Kids and adults have slept on it comfortably. The height, when fully inflated, is tall enough to make it easy to get up and down from. Unfortunately, it did not hold air overnight last night. Typically, it'd be a little less firm in the morning, but nothing dramatic. However, this morning my poor guest looked like she was sleeping in a hammock. Sadly, we've only had it for 9 months. We used it once or twice a month. No animals on the bed. No kids jumping on it. No one over the weight limit etc. Unfortunately I had to take away a couple of stars for durability, as it really should have held up longer. It is sad, because I really liked this one for ease of set up and the design of the pump.

Title: Worked OK
Content: I purchased this when a family member was coming for a visit and she seemed to sleep ok, but I tried it recently, and I'm not a fan of it. The "ribs" that are sewn into the top surface create a corrugated feel, and the built in "pillow" makes using my already thin pillow difficult. (If you sleep on your back or side, this pillow may not an issue.) I would like to add that I had no leakage issues that some have reported. I aired it up fully the first day, bounced around on it a few times to help stretch the new material, then aired it up again, and even months later, it's still aired up. I can somewhat sleep on it in a pinch, but if I had to do it over, I'd look for one that was smooth and flat on top.

I can somewhat sleep on it in a pinch, but if I had to do it over, I'd look for one that was smooth and flat on top.
