Title: It’s expensive yeah, but it works!

I bought this for the fire season in California, since after the last bad year, one couldn’t get filter replacements, let alone a new device. I also have a pet cat that sheds like she drinks water, and despite a Litter Robot, which is magic, it sometimes doesn’t turn, because of the weight setup. My friend had one of these BlueAir 211+ devices, and I could tell it worked well in their space. Sure enough, not long after buying it, the Canadian wildfires sent a ton of smoke our way. While those weren’t nearly as bad as when the fires were local, the city still looked like a stand-in for Bladerunner 2029, as before, it was still bad. The air quality was still sending people to hospitals. I have a dual-hose a/c unit that had run through the night when the air was clear, and then the next morning it was opaque and orange. Previously, the slightest amount of smoke would have woken me up. However, I had mistakenly left the filter on at high (usually not necessary at all), and with the older filter running in a corner, I didn’t smell anything. I had no coughing, no sneezing, no red and puffy eyes, no blocked sinuses…that can happen just from where someone HAS smoked in a room. It could have been days since someone smoked a cig, or worse, the WORLD ON FIRE outside, and my allergies go into overdrive. I swear by this device. I will never NOT be with one, or equivalent, ever again. I know it’s costly, but especially if you live in a city, buy this now. The air inside an house or anpartment, even when the air outside is (somewhat) clean, is still FULL of VOCs, your neighbor’s home/yard odors, cooking, pets, cars that still use gasoline, etc. When the Canadian wildfires blew into town, I smelled nothing and had no reactions, not even when I lowered the filter to low or medium. This thing DOES THE JOB! Save up if you must, but if you have breathing problems, allergies, or just have odors you cannot control entering your space — this baby is all you need for up to 500 sq. ft-ish. Buy the larger ones, or more ideally, buy these and split them throughout your space. I find with these, that I use the fans and air consider less, because they push cold air UP, and it’s good, clean circulation. The smaller ones are awesome for basements, garages, closets, etc. I know times may be tough, and the cheaper alternatives may seem like a deal, but most of them don’t offer true HEPA, and usually the charcoal they send is paper thin (literally). The chunky charcoal one for this is as thick as my index finger, at least, so odors and other particulates really don’t get through all three phases (reusable and washable cloth outer liner, HEPA, then charcoal. If you want to go hog wild, you could always cut or tape on another charcoal layer for the fan’s exhaust on top. As I said from the start, buy this, you never know when it’ll come in handy for bad weather, for allergies, odors, and just your general health. You’ll notice the difference. Thank me later!

I went on a trip with my son in his conversion van and it was very mildewy smelling. I stopped at Best Buy and bought the little unit (411?) and as soon as I started running it I knew I was going to be OK. It cleaned the air immediately. This little machine stayed with me the whole trip and made such a difference that when I got back I purchased the bigger unit. (211?) The replacement filters are very reasonably priced and the service has been great. They replaced my large unit when I dropped it without even asking if it was my fault. They even shipped out my new unit immediately without even waiting for me to return the other one. This is a very user friendly company and products. Often I buy expensive machines but when it’s time to buy new filters I can’t afford them. These filters are very reasonable and easy to install. I’m going to post this review for the 211 which is for medium rooms and covers 540 feet, and the 411 which is for small rooms and covers 161 feet, and replacement filters. I’ve considered trying the 121 for large rooms, but at 640 feet it only covers 100 feet more than the 211, and I’ve found the 211 to be very effective in whatever large area I use it. It is quiet enough to run in the den while we watch tv, and I also use it in my bedroom. Some people complain the the light on the button is too bright for the bedroom but it can easily be covered. I just slide the stretch pre-filter over it and it doesn’t even show. And speaking of the pre-filter....it is a stretch fabric that slides over the outside of the unit. It is the blue or dark gray color that you see in the picture. I just periodically take it off and rinse it or throw it in the washing machine. It is like a stretch infinity scarf that can be used over and over again. Very handy.

I saw there were other slightly cheaper options, but because it's kind of a strange set up I went with the manufacturer to ensure that it worked correctly and fit perfectly. The idea of an air filter is also to make sure the system works as effectively as possible, so I didn't want to purchase something cheaply made of inferior materials that doesn't filter the air as well. Removing the new filter from the box, it felt sturdy. It opened with easy but the plastic didn't feel flimsy. The paper filter was dense and held its shape as I tested it between my fingers. Some cheaper filters feel a lot like paper. The charcoal pad in the interior was thick and I didn't see much light through it. Installation was easy - just take off the fan unit, remove the old filter, drop this one in and put the fan back on. No issues with sizing or fit, which is what you expect when you buy from the manufacturer. Highly recommend.

I prefer to use the brand name I've found them to be superior quality . With the increase in forest fires during the summer months air cleaners have been a saving grace and Blue Air in my opinion after researching and trying several brands make some of the best!

A nice purring sound; easy to meditate or sleep through. Highly recommended. I think I might have paid a little too much as I have seen them for cheaper since, but that's life. Replacement filter hasn't been needed yet, and I do love that I can wash the most external layer of particle net. This has been an excellent purchase.

It is quiet enough to run in the den while we watch tv, and I also use it in my bedroom. Some people complain the the light on the button is too bright for the bedroom but it can easily be covered. I just slide the stretch pre-filter over it and it doesn’t even show. And speaking of the pre-filter....it is a stretch fabric that slides over the outside of the unit. It is the blue or dark gray color that you see in the picture. I just periodically take it off and rinse it or throw it in the washing machine. It is like a stretch infinity scarf that can be used over and over again. Very handy.

The idea of an air filter is also to make sure the system works as effectively as possible, so I didn't want to purchase something cheaply made of inferior materials that doesn't filter the air as well. Removing the new filter from the box, it felt sturdy. It opened with easy but the plastic didn't feel flimsy. The paper filter was dense and held its shape as I tested it between my fingers. Some cheaper filters feel a lot like paper. The charcoal pad in the interior was thick and I didn't see much light through it. Installation was easy - just take off the fan unit, remove the old filter, drop this one in and put the fan back on. No issues with sizing or fit, which is what you expect when you buy from the manufacturer. Highly recommend.

The air quality was still sending people to hospitals. I have a dual-hose a/c unit that had run through the night when the air was clear, and then the next morning it was opaque and orange. Previously, the slightest amount of smoke would have woken me up. However, I had mistakenly left the filter on at high (usually not necessary at all), and with the older filter running in a corner, I didn’t smell anything. I had no coughing, no sneezing, no red and puffy eyes, no blocked sinuses…that can happen just from where someone HAS smoked in a room. It could have been days since someone smoked a cig, or worse, the WORLD ON FIRE outside, and my allergies go into overdrive. I swear by this device. I’m going to post this review for the 211 which is for medium rooms and covers 540 feet, and the 411 which is for small rooms and covers 161 feet, and replacement filters. I’ve considered trying the 121 for large rooms, but at 640 feet it only covers 100 feet more than the 211, and I’ve found the 211 to be very effective in whatever large area I use it. It is quiet enough to run in the den while we watch tv, and I also use it in my bedroom. Some people complain the the light on the button is too bright for the bedroom but it can easily be covered. I just slide the stretch pre-filter over it and it doesn’t even show. And speaking of the pre-filter....it is a stretch fabric that slides over the outside of the unit. It is the blue or dark gray color that you see in the picture. I just periodically take it off and rinse it or throw it in the washing machine. It is like a stretch infinity scarf that can be used over and over again. Very handy.

Save up if you must, but if you have breathing problems, allergies, or just have odors you cannot control entering your space — this baby is all you need for up to 500 sq. ft-ish. Buy the larger ones, or more ideally, buy these and split them throughout your space. I find with these, that I use the fans and air consider less, because they push cold air UP, and it’s good, clean circulation. The smaller ones are awesome for basements, garages, closets, etc. I know times may be tough, and the cheaper alternatives may seem like a deal, but most of them don’t offer true HEPA, and usually the charcoal they send is paper thin (literally). The chunky charcoal one for this is as thick as my index finger, at least, so odors and other particulates really don’t get through all three phases (reusable and washable cloth outer liner, HEPA, then charcoal. If you want to go hog wild, you could always cut or tape on another charcoal layer for the fan’s exhaust on top. As I said from the start, buy this, you never know when it’ll come in handy for bad weather, for allergies, odors, and just your general health. You’ll notice the difference. Thank me later!

I just slide the stretch pre-filter over it and it doesn’t even show. And speaking of the pre-filter....it is a stretch fabric that slides over the outside of the unit. Title: Not The Cheapest But You Know It Works
Content: Purchased the Blue Pure 211 last year and the yellow bars indicated it was time to change the filter. I saw there were other slightly cheaper options, but because it's kind of a strange set up I went with the manufacturer to ensure that it worked correctly and fit perfectly. The idea of an air filter is also to make sure the system works as effectively as possible, so I didn't want to purchase something cheaply made of inferior materials that doesn't filter the air as well. Removing the new filter from the box, it felt sturdy. It opened with easy but the plastic didn't feel flimsy. The paper filter was dense and held its shape as I tested it between my fingers. Some cheaper filters feel a lot like paper. The charcoal pad in the interior was thick and I didn't see much light through it. Installation was easy - just take off the fan unit, remove the old filter, drop this one in and put the fan back on. No issues with sizing or fit, which is what you expect when you buy from the manufacturer. Highly recommend.

Content: I'm a big fan of Blue Air filters and Air Cleaners , the quality of air cleaning and design is awesome. I have an asthma and especially in the summer need good quality air cleaning. I prefer to use the brand name I've found them to be superior quality . With the increase in forest fires during the summer months air cleaners have been a saving grace and Blue Air in my opinion after researching and trying several brands make some of the best!

Content: I buy these replacement filters as needed throughout the three years I have owned the Blue Air 211+. It is very easy to switch out and replace the original filter. The filter works as expected, just like the original filter that came with the unit.

I have it right beside client's heads on my massage table (through covid) and although high speed is a little too noisy, medium is just great and I put it on high when they leave to air the room. A nice purring sound; easy to meditate or sleep through. Highly recommended. I think I might have paid a little too much as I have seen them for cheaper since, but that's life. Replacement filter hasn't been needed yet, and I do love that I can wash the most external layer of particle net. This has been an excellent purchase.

Content: TL;DR — just smash the “buy button” and thank me later, OK? I bought this for the fire season in California, since after the last bad year, one couldn’t get filter replacements, let alone a new device. I also have a pet cat that sheds like she drinks water, and despite a Litter Robot, which is magic, it sometimes doesn’t turn, because of the weight setup. My friend had one of these BlueAir 211+ devices, and I could tell it worked well in their space. Sure enough, not long after buying it, the Canadian wildfires sent a ton of smoke our way. While those weren’t nearly as bad as when the fires were local, the city still looked like a stand-in for Bladerunner 2029, as before, it was still bad. The air quality was still sending people to hospitals. I have a dual-hose a/c unit that had run through the night when the air was clear, and then the next morning it was opaque and orange. Previously, the slightest amount of smoke would have woken me up. However, I had mistakenly left the filter on at high (usually not necessary at all), and with the older filter running in a corner, I didn’t smell anything. I had no coughing, no sneezing, no red and puffy eyes, no blocked sinuses…that can happen just from where someone HAS smoked in a room. It could have been days since someone smoked a cig, or worse, the WORLD ON FIRE outside, and my allergies go into overdrive. I swear by this device. I will never NOT be with one, or equivalent, ever again. I know it’s costly, but especially if you live in a city, buy this now. The air inside an house or anpartment, even when the air outside is (somewhat) clean, is still FULL of VOCs, your neighbor’s home/yard odors, cooking, pets, cars that still use gasoline, etc. When the Canadian wildfires blew into town, I smelled nothing and had no reactions, not even when I lowered the filter to low or medium. This thing DOES THE JOB! If you have bad allergies, you live in a city, you have pets, you cook a lot of pungent foods, you smoke inside (ick), your cleaning chemicals are toxic and pungent, we could go on… I have yet to encounter a situation where this device and the replacement HEPA and carbon filters (I get the extra chunky ones, and I place the cloth filter on the outside so these last longer), have NOT been able to conquer it before it’s ever a problem, or with just a few minutes circulating on high. As someone whose allergies break out over even the smallest of things, this is one of the best investments in my overall health, ever. It’s so efficient it catches many things that can also cause illness. I was also in another country recently, and they didn’t have these specifically, but I bought a pair of the same brand, just smaller — same level of quality. Until they arrived, I was sneezing every 5 seconds, and couldn’t sleep because my sinuses were all blocked. Once I had them, I turned those puppies on to full blast, and after 20 minutes or so…like nothing was ever there. I would also add that a lot of other devices don’t catch as much dust, fur, and whatever it is that ends up on the cloth outer liner, before ever going through the HEPA and then the charcoal. It’s because most only have a square, one-face HEPA, and not enough sq footage, even if they’re round or square. As a result, many of those cheaper ones eject a lot of dust that just falls over everything like a fine mist. I’m not saying you will NEVER dust again with this, but I dust half as much, if not less, than usual. If you have not guessed, I give this 5+ stars. Save up if you must, but if you have breathing problems, allergies, or just have odors you cannot control entering your space — this baby is all you need for up to 500 sq. ft-ish. Buy the larger ones, or more ideally, buy these and split them throughout your space. I find with these, that I use the fans and air consider less, because they push cold air UP, and it’s good, clean circulation. The smaller ones are awesome for basements, garages, closets, etc. I know times may be tough, and the cheaper alternatives may seem like a deal, but most of them don’t offer true HEPA, and usually the charcoal they send is paper thin (literally). The chunky charcoal one for this is as thick as my index finger, at least, so odors and other particulates really don’t get through all three phases (reusable and washable cloth outer liner, HEPA, then charcoal. If you want to go hog wild, you could always cut or tape on another charcoal layer for the fan’s exhaust on top. As I said from the start, buy this, you never know when it’ll come in handy for bad weather, for allergies, odors, and just your general health. You’ll notice the difference. Thank me later!

Content: I am very chemically sensitive and these purifiers have been a life saver for me. The charcoal filter absorbs toxins and chemical smells and also cleans the air of unpleasant musty orders. I went on a trip with my son in his conversion van and it was very mildewy smelling. I stopped at Best Buy and bought the little unit (411?) and as soon as I started running it I knew I was going to be OK. It cleaned the air immediately. This little machine stayed with me the whole trip and made such a difference that when I got back I purchased the bigger unit. (211?) The replacement filters are very reasonably priced and the service has been great. They replaced my large unit when I dropped it without even asking if it was my fault. They even shipped out my new unit immediately without even waiting for me to return the other one. This is a very user friendly company and products. Often I buy expensive machines but when it’s time to buy new filters I can’t afford them. These filters are very reasonable and easy to install. I’m going to post this review for the 211 which is for medium rooms and covers 540 feet, and the 411 which is for small rooms and covers 161 feet, and replacement filters. I’ve considered trying the 121 for large rooms, but at 640 feet it only covers 100 feet more than the 211, and I’ve found the 211 to be very effective in whatever large area I use it. It is quiet enough to run in the den while we watch tv, and I also use it in my bedroom. Some people complain the the light on the button is too bright for the bedroom but it can easily be covered. I just slide the stretch pre-filter over it and it doesn’t even show. And speaking of the pre-filter....it is a stretch fabric that slides over the outside of the unit. It is the blue or dark gray color that you see in the picture. I just periodically take it off and rinse it or throw it in the washing machine. It is like a stretch infinity scarf that can be used over and over again. Very handy.

Content: I have tried using another brand and I could tell the difference in the quality, fit and the performance. If you own a BLUEAIR Blue Pure 211 these are the best filters to use. I own 2 of them and these are the only filters I order now. I know, we all want to save a buck here and there but save it somewhere else. The quality of your filter really makes a difference in this machine.
