In a last ditch attempt to make my newest office chair last longer than six months, I searched for "armrest covers" to see if such a thing even existed. Lo and behold, it does! And better yet, it works! I have fairly standard office chairs with long padded armrests, and these stretchy covers fit like a charm and doesn't look bad. I think they will wear out over time, but they will save the chair! For less than 1/10th the cost of the chair, I really couldn't ask for more!

They are supposed to fit an armrest between 10 and 13 inches. My armrests are only 10 inches so the covers tend to scrunch up a bit in a way that they would not have if the armrest had been longer. My 4-star rating only reflects that I am not as happy with the way they look as they would have looked on a longer armrest. They are made of thin material--almost like a sock--and don't to provide extra padding beyond the padding in the armrest itself. Still, I'm not unhappy with the purchase. If my armrests were longer, they probably would have fit better and would have rated the 5-star rating because of the price.
