First of all it comes in a long mat, which I need in my old tub. It stays put and does not move, which makes you feel safe. The surface is very soft and even with soap never feels slippery. Lastly it is easy to clean and does not tend to hold a lot of soap scum underneath. I have never tried the washing machine like they say because I didn't need to. As an elderly person I truly appreciate all the features of this mat since it is very reassuring to me that I will not slip on it. I highly recommend this product and would buy it again.

The only thing I would keep in mind when purchasing this bathmat is, it does come undone and not stick to the bottom of the tub if you have water that stays at the bottom of the tub when showering or if you plan on taking a bath. So advice: I would remove the mat for bathing and just keep in mind if you have water that stays at the bottom (above your ankles) of the tub when showering that it may unstick.
