Only one very small single staple thin fastener was used. 2) No fasteners other than one tiny staple were in the rails. Nothing in the predrilled holes shown in the photo. I added small nails to the predrilled holes and glued them. 3) One of the rail male pieces is not teak, is was not stained. It looks bad as it is a completely different color and lower quality soft wood. I stained it and although darker, still clearly not teak, but not so noticeable. 4) The rails are loose and not square to the center piece. I added felt strips to tighten them up. Having said this, I sent this review to the seller and they immediately offered to replace or refund in full my purchase allowing me to keep the product. So five stars for Customer Service, but three stars for execution.
