Title: Finally an EB that stays on and works great
Content: After a long time spent buying electric blankets that ended up being "hit and misses" this one ticks all the boxes for me: It's easy to get it to STAY ON ALL NIGHT (up to 8 hours with one setting, more if you extend it manually). AND it actually works! The only thing I would caution is that today's EBs DO NOT seem to tolerate even gentle machine washing - at least they're very finicky. Hence, I buy them whenever they're on sale..., I get the twin size and put 2 on my King bed so that we each have our own control AND if one goes bad it's relatively inexpensive to get another one. Because you're taking a chance when washing that it will cause the blanket to fail, I extend the life of my electric blankets by putting them sandwiched in-between the top sheet and another blanket. This seems to insulate from the top while feeling great on the skin and keeps the EB out of contact with most dirt and body oils. I have fibromyalgia and heat REALLY helps me feel okay, so I have mine on A LOT, and still by doing the sandwich thing and not washing it I can get about a year from one blanket. Then it's my preference to throw away the old and get a new one (for electrical safety reasons... with the heavy use I'm giving these wires I don't feel safe donating them or continuing to use them myself. ). These make phenomenal gifts! Perfect for your friends and family on chemotherapy (which is how I discovered this brand myself), perfect for elderly, and anyone who has bone and joint pain can really benefit from keeping warm.

I have purchased 3 other brands over the past 7 years and they have all had issues. One would not get hot enough, another had one side that was temperamental and only heated up when it felt like it. The other one was simply too delicate and the heating wires got easily damaged. This blanket gets more than hot enough with 3 more heat settings to spare. It gets hot very quickly. Within minutes of turning it on you can already feel the heat forwarding through the blanket and within 5 minutes, it is at is desired heat setting. I literally turn it on and then go to the bathroom and when I come back a few minutes later, the bed is already warm and toasty. The remotes are very simple to figure out with a large display that is easy to read without glasses (important of you are a glasses wearer) and there is more than enough cord to run the remotes cable under the bed putting the remote on a nightstand at the head of the bed and still running the outlet plug to an outlet another 6 feet away. The blanket also did not have any funky smell out of the box. All of that and it was half the price of one of those other failed blankets. So far, this one is a keeper.

Then it's my preference to throw away the old and get a new one (for electrical safety reasons... with the heavy use I'm giving these wires I don't feel safe donating them or continuing to use them myself. ). Very soft, large enough for our king size bed and because the heating elements are a bit closer together we feel a more even heat distribution. The controls are easy to use and the characters are large enough to see. Cords were more than long enough to reach the foot of the bed and for the controller to easily reach our night stands. The only drawback, small as it is , is that the shutoff timer is only 8 hours. We like to preheat the bed before retiring and 10 hours would be better.

Well worth the money, I purposely didn't go with the cheapest one. It is very soft and flexible. Being warm on the top and bottom when I'm in bed is very nice. I turn it on as I'm getting ready for bed. Even if I forgot to turn it on before I go to bed... It heats up instantly. The house is 68 degrees. I usually have the blanket on '1' setting and rarely on '2'. I also like that the control light goes off after a few seconds. The controls are easy to do, even if you are not looking at it. I've had the queen-size blanket for a month now and doing great.

Content: This is the best electric blanket I have purchased over the past 7 years and it is also the cheapest in terms of price. I have purchased 3 other brands over the past 7 years and they have all had issues. One would not get hot enough, another had one side that was temperamental and only heated up when it felt like it. The other one was simply too delicate and the heating wires got easily damaged. This blanket gets more than hot enough with 3 more heat settings to spare. It gets hot very quickly. Within minutes of turning it on you can already feel the heat forwarding through the blanket and within 5 minutes, it is at is desired heat setting. I literally turn it on and then go to the bathroom and when I come back a few minutes later, the bed is already warm and toasty. The remotes are very simple to figure out with a large display that is easy to read without glasses (important of you are a glasses wearer) and there is more than enough cord to run the remotes cable under the bed putting the remote on a nightstand at the head of the bed and still running the outlet plug to an outlet another 6 feet away. The blanket also did not have any funky smell out of the box. All of that and it was half the price of one of those other failed blankets. So far, this one is a keeper.

Content: After a long time spent buying electric blankets that ended up being "hit and misses" this one ticks all the boxes for me: It's easy to get it to STAY ON ALL NIGHT (up to 8 hours with one setting, more if you extend it manually). AND it actually works! The only thing I would caution is that today's EBs DO NOT seem to tolerate even gentle machine washing - at least they're very finicky. Hence, I buy them whenever they're on sale..., I get the twin size and put 2 on my King bed so that we each have our own control AND if one goes bad it's relatively inexpensive to get another one. Because you're taking a chance when washing that it will cause the blanket to fail, I extend the life of my electric blankets by putting them sandwiched in-between the top sheet and another blanket.
