I wouldn’t recommend this canopy for a child’s room; it is a delicate mesh fabric that will easily tear. I used my own hook with anchor to put it up; I wouldn’t trust the hook that came with it. The lights are difficult to match adequately with the canopy. They are too long to evenly wrap them around once and too short to wrap around twice. They aren’t spaced in a way that allows for framing around the opening of the canopy. I opted to use them as a backdrop for the bed instead.
