Now I bought this velvet quilt. It is gorgeous and of a very good weight and excellent stitching. I would say it's a medium weight, which I love. It feels plush, and regal. It is absolutely delicious to climb into this on a cold night. I am so happy with this product. And what I also love if it is I can throw it in the wash with no problem unlike my down comforter which are so hard to handle and have to be washed at a giant size laundromat machine.. I love I. Southern California but in the low desert which gets very cold. The beautiful quilt is instantly warm when you get into bed..
