**Introduction** The India Arts Indian Bedspread Cotton Sunflower Print, in a beautiful blue-gray hue, is a versatile home accessory blending functionality with aesthetics. With its generous size of 70" x 106", it effortlessly adorns any living space, adding a touch of elegance and traditional Indian art. Not to be mistaken for thick tapestries, this lightweight cotton bedspread offers a variety of uses, including a comfortable bed cover, decorative wall hanging, or even a distinctive curtain. Celebrated for its vivid patterns and authentic design, it serves as a testament to the enduring appeal of Indian prints, infusing homes with charm and color. **Advantages** 1. **Versatility** - This bedspread serves multiple purposes, from a decorative wall hanging to a functional bed cover or curtain. 2. **Durability** - Made from sturdy cotton, it withstands frequent washes without significant wear and tear. 3. **Lightweight Design** - Its thin yet durable fabric makes it perfect for summer use or as a layering piece. 4. **Ease of Maintenance** - Washable and easy to care for, it remains attractive despite frequent laundering. 5. **Colorfastness** - Maintains vibrant colors when washed in cooler water, ensuring long-lasting aesthetic appeal. 6. **Authenticity** - Offers an authentic Indian print design, appreciated for its cultural significance and nostalgic value. 7. **Aesthetic Appeal** - Vivid colors and intricate sunflower print create a striking visual impact in any space. 8. **Affordability** - Provides great value for money, offering quality and aesthetic appeal without breaking the bank. 9. **Quick Delivery** - Prompt service with a personal touch, as evidenced by quick shipping and thoughtful package notes. 10. **Compatibility** - Fits well as a bedspread on queen-sized mattresses and can be layered for added warmth. **Disadvantages** 1. **Misleading Description** - Some might mistake it as a tapestry due to naming conventions, but it lacks the traditional tapestry thickness. 2. **Fabric Stiffness** - Initially stiff, requiring several washes to soften it adequately. 3. **Inexact Size** - While suitable for queen-sized beds, some users might prefer additional coverage. 4. **Color Fading** - Slight fading observed with hot-cycle washes, which may not appeal to all users. 5. **Texture Preference** - Those seeking a looser weave for hotter climates may find it too tightly woven. 6. **Limited Use as Tapestry** - Not ideal as a traditional tapestry due to its lightweight structure. 7. **Potential Cultural Confusion** - The term "Indian Print" can lead to confusion with Native American prints. 8. **Size Variability** - Reports of slight variances in sizing might lead to coverage issues. 9. **Limited Retail Availability** - Not always available in local stores, may need to rely on online shopping. 10. **Not Heavily Embroidered** - Lacks the elaborate embroidery found in some other Indian textiles. **Conclusion** The India Arts Indian Bedspread Cotton Sunflower Print captures the essence of traditional Indian craftsmanship while providing practical elegance for modern living. Its vibrant design, coupled with utility, makes it a valuable addition to any home. Despite minor drawbacks such as the need for multiple washes to achieve desired softness or the potential for slight color fading, its advantages in versatility, ease of maintenance, and aesthetic appeal greatly outweigh these concerns. For those looking to add a touch of cultural warmth and style to their space, this bedspread is a delightful choice. **FAQ** 1. **Is this bedspread the same as a tapestry?** - No, it is lightweight cotton, not the thick, embroidered art typically associated with tapestries. 2. **Can it be used as a curtain?** - Yes, its size and design make it suitable for use as a curtain. 3. **How should it be washed?** - It is recommended to wash it in cool water to avoid fading. 4. **Is this suitable for use in all seasons?** - It is ideal for summer due to its lightweight nature but can be layered when it’s cooler. 5. **Does it fit a queen-sized bed?** - Yes, though some users noted that a slightly larger size might offer better coverage. 6. **Does the color fade with washing?** - Minimal fading occurs with hot-cycle washes; cooler washes help maintain color vibrancy. 7. **Does it require ironing after washing?** - It depends on personal preference. The tight weave minimizes wrinkling, making ironing optional. 8. **How long does it take to ship?** - Typically, it ships quickly; some customers received it within two days. 9. **Is it suitable for outdoor use as a sunshade?** - While possible, outdoor exposure may cause faster fading, better suited for indoor decor. 10. **Are there other colors available?** - This particular model is in blue-gray, but other prints and colors may be available from different sellers.

Title: Indian 'Tapestries '
Content: I read a review suggesting that these items are NOT 'tapestries' and that buyer should 'beware' etc. For clarification, these are not 'tapestries' in a traditional sense. They are not 'thick', they are not embroidered art. They are thin, yet durable, colored with one of many common designs, made of cotton, washable, and generally used as a throw for covering a couch, as a light bedspread covering, and even bought as, or made into curtains. When I was a 'kid' in the 60's/70's, we called them "Indian Prints". They were our curtains, used as a bedspread, covered the furniture, were our sheets and, yes, were hung on the wall as a tapestry. While there are some online shops that sell breathtaking cotton Indian print designs or batiks, these simple cotton block prints are the most commons style of inexpensive 'Indian tapestries'. If you are not familiar with them, the important thing to remember is that they are usually very light cotton and not a thick tapestry. Whatever they are called, those from India have been around for a very long time and if they have 'Indian' in the title, they are probably the same; Indian prints, Indian bedspreads, Indian sheets, Indian spreads, Indian tapestries and probably go by other names. One reason they are probably no longer commonly called Indian prints is that Native American tapestries are frequently called 'Indian Prints' and are very different. While Amazon probably has many sellers of this style of print, I have to give special thanks to SweetUsDotCom from whom I bought mine. They were 'authentic' Indian prints, exactly the colors I purchased, ordered on a Saturday and arrived 2 days later with regular shipping and a hand written thank-you note! One suggestion, if not familiar with this style and you live in or near a large city, try going to a 'head' shop, the ones that sell pipes, papers and other 'paraphernalia'. They often have a small sampling of prints for a better idea of what you are getting online. Indian Bedspread ? Cotton Sunflower Print

Title: Very pretty. Washes well.
Content: I bought this to protect a bed from my cat, who sheds prolifically. It washes well and seems sturdy. Even though it gets washed every few days, I think it will last quite a while. Update after 4 weeks. The bedspread has now been washed four times on the very hot cycle of my washer (for hygiene's sake, as my cat is pretty grubby). It has faded very slightly, but I do not mind that. It is still attractive. Washed in cooler water, I doubt it would fade.

Content: This cloth is beautiful, absolutely stunning. My only complain is that it is nothing like the hippy sheets of the 1970’s. It’s a flat, tightly woven fabric. It’ll be sturdy. But, I was looking for a looser weave, more traditional feel and look, due to needing a cover for hot summer weather. . I’ll be keeping this because it’s so pretty.

Content: It’s a light bead spread, which is good in a warm climate, and, they can be layered when it gets cooler. The colors are several shades of blue and gray-browns. I measured the size as 70”x104” and it fits well on a queen sized mattress. However, a 88”x108” size would give better coverage. It is stiff but got softer and still held the color after washing in cold water on a gentle cycle. A very good value.
