I removed the clips easily and used on standard curtain pins. Very nice quality. I ordered 2 packages and the 2nd one had a mix of what looked liked both the black and matte gray. Perhaps they were returned by someone who mixed them up. The other package was fine. The matching rods are beautiful and look so much nicer than the telescoping rods available at Pott Barn, Rest Hard, or other high end stores. Would give 5 stars except for the inconsistency in color of the package I received.
