Title: The BEST Sleep Trainer we found!!
Content: We purchased two different brand of sleep timers/clocks (Big Red Rooster - dog figure & Tommee Tippee GroClock - sun & moon). Tommee Tippee GroClock: this clock is very nice looking, and it would go with any decor. I prefer the looks of this clock over the Big Red Rooster clock. This clock is moderately easy to set, but it has only a few buttons for setting the clock. The blue light (with moon and stars) that shines at night, is very bright (even on the lowest setting)- our toddler wanted it darker at night. Big Red Rooster: This clock looks very childish, and might not fit with every decorating scheme - our toddler LOVES the dog and shining ball, however. This clock is very easy to set - as it has buttons for every function (many buttons in back, it just a few). Also, this lamp can be set to a low glow, and it is not too bright for our toddler. Both clocks are well made and work well as sleep training alarm clocks. Our family prefers the Big Red Rooster clock. Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much! Content: Just received the item today, and it was super easy to set up (e.g, time, alarm, and brightness feature which is great). My daughter is actually getting close to 5 years old now, so I know that I am a little late to the game for any real kind of sleep training, of course. However, she knows all about this type of clock and concept from some of her other friends whose parents use it with them. Clearly, this is easy for her to understand. The question is whether or not she will actually obey the rule of no getting up or calling out for mommy (or daddy....but always calls for mommy!!!) at the crazy early hour of 5:10 or 5:30 in the morning! She goes to bed too late, yet continues to often wake up way too early. I would celebrate every day if she could just stay in her bed until 6:30am, even if just resting or maybe even self entertaining with a book or her dolls. She is not so great at entertaining herself at all when she wakes up, so this is going to be a challenge for her (and new rules). Sometimes if I do not answer her when she calls out to me, she will fall back to sleep for about another hour or less. So, my goal here is that she will see that the dog’s light is still red, and then she will try her best to close her eyes and fall back off to sleep. That would be my perfect world! Guess we will put it to the test tonight! No matter what though, I will continue to maintain my five star review here, because I really like the features and user friendliness of this clock. I always like the fact that you can change the brightness of the red/green light ball, so that it does not have to keep your child up all night he with such a bright bulb. I know that I will have to remember to turn the alarm back on each night (maybe a downside here), but I still don’t think it’s such a big deal, and hopefully it will once again be a good reminder to my daughter just how important her sleep (and mine!) is!!!!! Anyway, wish me luck! ***UPDATE*** First time use was a huge success! This could seriously be life saving for my sanity and my sleep! Not only did our daughter love this cute little dog res light green light clock, she also decided that she no longer needed a nightlight in her room, as the red light did the job instead, and she decides that she could go to sleep without my staying in her room!!! This was probably just luck of course, and the fact that it was late and she’d had a busy day and evening. She really loved the concept of red light/green light (super easy for her to understand), so she went to sleep knowing exactly what we expected of her in the morning. The alarm was set for 6:30am. We heard her get up to use e bathroom at about 6:15am. She did not call for assistance at all, and returned right back to her bed. Once the green light and buzzer turned on, she very excitedly pranced into our bedroom to report that it was time to wake up. I have never felt so excited for such a win!!!! Let’s hope this continues!

Content: I love this. My daughter loves this. It’s pretty much our favorite thing in the world right now. I wasn’t even going to get this one but as I was browsing my daughter saw the puppy and if a puppy clock was what she wanted than by all means she could have it. For months she would wake me up at 5 something in the morning. She’d wake the baby up by loudly asking if he was awake yet. I was miserable and sleep deprived. I wish I got this for her sooner. She was so excited when it came in the mail and couldn’t wait to have it in her room. I set it so there is no alarm sound, the ball just turns green when it is okay to come out of her room. The first day she must have been watching intently because at exactly 7am she walked into my room so happy and proud of herself that she waited until the light turns green. But now there are mornings where I even have to wake her up because she sees that it’s red and just goes back to sleep. This really is an amazing product. I wish the button to turn on the alarm wasn’t in the middle of all the other buttons. And the cord isn’t quite as snug fitting as it should be because if you aren’t really careful when you set it it will come unplugged. But still. it’s an amazing product and works like a charm. I bought another one for the baby to eventually use.
