The frame is made of a bunch of pressed wood pulp that is wrapped in a plastic black wood grain look. The backing is a thin piece of Masonite and the front is thin plexi. It has nice holders to secure the backing that are adjustable so they fit snug. These are good for the price but wouldn’t stand up to a lot of abuse. Looks nice but not great quality or longevity.

As shown in my photos, I used it to frame a certificate that measures 8.5”x11” using the matting provided with the frame. For larger documents, the matting can be removed. The crystal clear plastic ( or polycarbonate ) “glass” is covered with a protective film ensuring perfect clarity. With little or no effort, I was able to easily achieve a very attractive and professional looking result. On the back of the frame are many metal latches to secure the back panel and apply pressure to the framed piece to hold it securely in place. The prop stand on the back completes the package, making for the perfect table-top or shelf display of your framed item. Alternatively, there are two wall hook receivers attached to the back for hanging in either “portrait “ or “landscape “ orientation. Overall, I am very pleased and would not hesitate to order this item again. Highly recommended!
