Content: This tub mushroom is great at catching my hair. I can't believe how many years I went without one (sorry drain)! It's incredibly easy to use and the hair pulls right off after your shower. I leave mine to dry on the edge of the tub until my next shower. I will say that no matter how often I clean mine I find it eventually (after many many months) starts growing mold/mildew. I just buy a new one at that point and start over. So happy to have an affordable and effective solution to prevent hair from clogging the drain.

Content: Fits my tub perfectly and is great at catching hair. Our previous hair-catcher sat on top of the drain, and sometimes it would slip out of place. I always worried how much hair was going down the drain and the future clog I might have to deal with. That's no longer an issue! I almost gave this 4 stars when I first received it, because the packaging made one of the top edges curl under. However, after bending it back into place several times, it seems to have relaxed and now stays in position. Functional and pretty easy to clean. Glad I bought it!

Content: I bought this product about 6 months back and finally need to add my reveiw, as not many reviews on here mention the mold issue. I bought the silicone tub shroom in grey for both our upstairs and downstairs shower/tub combos. Upstairs tub is fiberglass, downstairs tub porcelain cast iron tub. The reviews were great and so I bought two at the same time. Yes, they are amazing at catching hair (three long haired gals in the house) buuuuuut the one thing that I don’t understand is the mold that seems to be permanent on the bottom of the shroom. I clean regularly and thoroughly. I don’t have the luxury of hiring a cleaning lady, and my bathrooms get a thorough clean every two weeks and picks ups in between. We are a household of 5 (2A and 3children) and the showers are used daily by myself and my husband and a couple more times a week by our children. The black mold on the bottom of these things is AWFUL. It won’t come off. Not with vinegar, not with bleach (I thought bleach got rid of most things!), not with scrubbing bubbles, Lysol, the pink stuff, nor the horrid mold and mildew cleaner I brought up from the basement as a last resort. It won’t scrub off, peel off, sand off, soak off. The design is incredibly efficient and the material (silicone) is probably part of its genius. But the mold is making me rethink keeping them. Mold is dangerous and unhealthy. My plan is to try the stainless (it was my first choice but there’s always the budget to keep me double guessing the more costly choice!) in a little bit and see if mold grows on those as well. My thoughts are it would be much easier to clean. Amazing at catching hair but the mold is horrendous. Im flabbergasted as to why others don’t also get this? Would love to be clued in!

Content: Honestly this thing catches all hair - long and short. I haven't had a clogged drain since purchasing this. I just bought a new one since they don't last forever. I had my first for about two years though! It's a cheaper investment than calling a plumber! You wouldn't think it would be effective based on the material, but definitely don't be dissuaded. It's also extremely easy to put in the tub and clean. The hair comes off easily with a tissue.
