Title: Works like a charm!
Content: My wife & I bought a nearly 100 year old house with the original porcelain tub & plumbing! We recently had to have the drain snaked (thank you long hair!) & due to the old setup, there was a chance the snake could break the trap. Thankfully it didn’t & our plumber said if we can keep hair out of drain, our plumbing could last another 10-20 years. It will be a couple thousand dollars to replace it so we want it to last as long as possible! I’ve tried a lot of those products that you sit in the drain or over the drain to catch the hair. They catch a lot of it, but you know it’s not catching ALL or even most of it. They’re also plastic & tend get moldy & are hard to clean. I put the tub mushroom in the drain this morning & washed my hair. I feel confident that it caught all of the hair & even a little chunk of soap. It fits right into the drain so it can stay there all the time & because it’s stainless steel, it’ll be so much easier to clean.

Content: I really like this thing. I have long hair and a lot of it. It works better than the strainer cup types that I have used, both the kind that sit inside and the dome types in metal and plastic. (Hair can slip through these.) It also works better than those flowers with the hanging chain which do work well, but are a pain to clean. This tub shroom seems to catch more than others because it catches a lot of hair that builds up pretty quickly. I expected an OK gimmicky device but was pleasantly surprised. It also came with extra rubber rings to adjust for tub size. I ended up taking off one from the standard size because my drain is small, I was worried it wouldn't work as well, but it still work great. I suspect its shape causes hair to swirl around it which makes it wrap around and catch. Cleaning it is easy too, still kinda gross, but it's only gross because it works so good!

Content: I have a 1.75 inch drain hole and that is the limit of the tub shroom. It works perfectly with my hole size, so the size limit is definitely true to size. I love that its stainless steel because I feel like it's higher quality and will last longer than others. I actually prefer the stopper it came with over the traditional white stoppers with the metal ring. This stopper works better with my hole size. The tub shroom does get pretty clogged each shower at least for me so be prepared to possibly empty it after each shower. Otherwise I love this hair catcher it's the best one on the market! It is easy to clean I just wipe it out with a baby wipe and it comes out easily. Mine just slides right into the drain hole and slides back out really easy.

Content: This actually works! I didn’t have any real expectations but this has been great so far. I have long hair so I have to clean it every other day because it catches so much hair. I was surprised at how much soap scum it traps also. The downside to that is if you forget to clean it and it gets too mucked up with, your water will drain extremely slowly. Thankfully that’s a super simple fix because it’s so easy to remove to clean.

Content: I have a lot of very long hair. Which is ironic because once the hair comes out of my hair it is absolutely disgusting to me, like, setting off my gag reflex level of disgusting. (I know, I know. But I never claimed to not be weird). As anyone with a lot of long hair knows, you shed like crazy and can lose a lot of it while showering and it can lead to drain clogs. Enter the tubshroom. I knew of its existence for many years, but never took the plunge of buying it. This changed when I got my own place and would thus, be responsible for cleaning out my drains. I’ll be honest, I do my best to catch the majority of my loose hair before it gets washed down, but for the stuff I don’t / can’t, the tubshroom works AMAZINGLY. It fits perfectly in my drain and catches all the loose hairs. I do find it’s a little challenging to clean, but this is not something that I would knock a star off for. I also like the stainless steel model because it looks like it’s just part of the tub. The included drain plug is about a 3.5-4 out of 5. Better than those beige rubber stoppers which I can’t pull out due to my short nails. It stops the water from draining but doesn’t have the best seal. Works for me, but may not work as well for others. Overall, recommend this product.
