Content: This unit is so easy to install into an existing drain which has a receiving thread size for either of the two threads listed for this product.* Just unscrew and remove an existing plug, remove the protective nut from the new stopper, and screw it into the receiving thread. Tighten slightly, and you're done. Just twist and pull to open, or twist and let the unit sit snugly to close. (*Please note, if you don't have a central thread in your existing plug hole with the thread sizes listed, you'd need to change the plug hole to accommodate this unit to use it). It's so easy to use and is perfect for our tub. This unit is sturdy, and not flimsy like many of the "toe tap" plastic ones out there, and has less components to fail. I suspect this will last a very long time compared to those kinds of units (that it's replacing). Also, the unit comes complete with a seal which works seamlessly. Highly Recommended. (I researched alternatives at some length, and believe this is probably the best value from Amazon at the time of purchase)

Content: Had to replace the old moldy plastic cover that previous owners used in the bathtub. I tried other metal covers, but they didn’t screw in and my toddler could easily take them out. This is the perfect solution and easy to install. My toddler can still open the drain by turning it, but can’t remove it all together. No complaints here.

Content: Read around a bit before buying a replacement drain stopper for the tub. The old one was a spring style stopper that you could change the position of with your foot. However, it was old and nasty looking and it was hard to get the stopper to stay in the down position. From looking around online I quickly realized that there are only a limited number of options for stoppers and that most of them are made of plastic and have the same issues as the one I already had (in terms of use. Being new they don't look nasty). However, I eventually stumbled across this one, and I am completely satisfied. Based off of my experience the pros and cons are as follows: Pros: 1. Solid metal construction (vs. plastic with the existing and others) 2. Easy to open and close. 3. Fits multiple thread sizes which may vary depending on the size of tub you have. Cons: 1. Because the stopper is designed to fit multiple sizes of tubs it disassembles fairly easily so you can switch it around to fit your needs. So before using it you need to make sure its all firmly together. Not a big deal but surprised me initially. Definitely an upgrade from the old stopper and looks sharp in the tub. Keeps water in the tub when down which is also nice ;-)

Content: I bought this as an open box, in like-new condition. Out of the box, it had the wrong size threads for my drain. You have to take it apart and flip the post around if it doesn't fit. I suspect that people complaining about the fit did not read the directions. I'd rather this have a brass post instead of a plastic one, but it seems sturdy enough so far.
Title: Shaft is PLASTIC not brass
Content: The product does work - if it does not screw properly into your drain, you need to know the trick - Unscrew the top metal knob, remove the nut, pull the shaft out, flip it around, slip it back in and use the other nut to secure it, then screw the metal knob back on. There are no instructions for this on the card. There are two screw sizes on the shaft, one on each end, you need the correct one facing out and it screws right in. That said - the shaft with the threads is PLASTIC not brass. The whole reason for me to replace the original is the shaft was plastic and it wore out. So, this is no better! The shaft needs to be METAL so the threads don't wear out. The pictures above show BRASS, so Danco got cheap and replaced it with PLASTIC. Very disappointed. Danco - coloring the plastic a brass color doesn't fool anyone.

Content: It may appear to be "double talk" by review and title, but it did not work for one of our older model tubs and leaked horribly. It was made well though and just didn't work for the drain plug. Probably I bought the wrong size needed. The price was low and I didn't lose a lot of greenbacks over it, so it's a lesson learned on my part. This seller shipped fast, had accurately described the item and presented a very fair price. I do not fault the seller period.
