Is when taking them out of the wrapping there was filling coming out of some of the seams from the factory and it seemed to be kind of messy. Maybe I was too cheap / stubborn with my old pillows, but waking up with a stiff neck and back was getting tedious. For the first time in a long time, woke up with no stiffness on either account. These pillows balance firmness and softness really well (darn near 50/50). Or another way to put it: if I had guests staying over, confident these pillows would be comfy for them.
