Title: Very attractive and works well
Content: I got my off white Duraflame electric fireplace in November 2023. I have been using it daily since then and love looking over at its cheerful "fire." The stove puts out good heat, and accurately reaches whatever temperature I have set it at. (I have checked this by looking at my wall thermostat.) It can be set as low as 62 and as high as 84. I have also frequently used it without the heater on - just for the ambiance, the cozy look of a fire in my corner "fireplace." I especially love the ambiance of this stove / fireplace, how attractive it is. I know that in warmer weather, I will also enjoy looking at it, and will use its surface as a display area. It weighs only 35 lbs. and I could easily move it to other parts of my home if I wanted to. I appreciate that the top of it only gets warm, not hot. Only one hiccup (which doesn't matter to me) - my remote only serves to turn the stove off and on and adjust the faux flame height; it does not adjust the temperature or the timer. To change the temperature, which I rarely do, I need to open the door of the fireplace and manually push the "temperature button." It's easy, and not a big deal for me as I am a flexible person who has no problem kneeling down. And, frankly, that's kind of what I feel like doing daily - bowing to this little gem of an electric fireplace that keeps me warm and provides such a cheerful presence in my home. Don't be surprised that the legs are heavy plastic. They work just fine. The rest of the stove, as described, is glass and metal. It comes very well packaged. Screwing in the legs was a breeze. Have AAA batteries on hand for the remote. If you want a wonderfully cozy look and a very good little heater at a good price; and if you can deal with a remote that functions mainly as an on / off button, you may be as pleased as I am with this little electric fireplace! Word has gotten around my condo building and now 7 of us own it in different colors. (The red and blue are lovely, rich shades.) We are all 7 pleased with it!

Content: The media could not be loaded. This is my second Duraflame Infrared Quartz stove heater. This one is an upgrade with the four logs and the three dimensional flames front, middle, and back. The logs are not as red as the first one thankfully, this new one is more realistic. The heating element on this one is at the top front vs the bottom, which I also prefer, as I have 2 kitties not wanting singed tails. The heating element DOES get quite hot to touch if hand is directly infront of it, like a stove coil, but cools fast when off, and only in the front not on the top (or below on the carpet if you have one that is near the floor), that was worrisome to me. The 3-sided & front beveled plexaglass glass adds a touch of elegance and more enjoyable to see from multiple directions in the room (both offer this feature). I must say the remote change from one unit to this higher priced unit is confusing in that, the first bottom heated unit has a remote with a magnet, it stays on units top and controls every part of the units flame and the heating element. This featured stove has a remote that is not magnetized to the unit, it only works part of the system. You have to physically open the plexiglass door to change the heat from 68 to 82 degrees by hand. No backlight, so learn to feel the buttons, thats easy. I'm not sure why remote doesn't control everything. BUT ... point remote to upper right and control unit. That said, it puts out excellent fast heat. I've not had to use my central heat this evening our first night under 40° it's currently 39 outside and only hit 51 today. Using this new unit in my living room, we're very toasty with the setting at 72° and it did heat up 7° in my apartment, with my central heat thermostat set in the off position. (Update: cooler 32° nights with 49-50° rainy days, turned on central but ONLY at 66°), the two supplemental heating units make my 1000 sq foot unit apartment VERY toasty. A bit pricey esp, for half remote / half manuel design. But I'm thrilled I have it! So are my 2 cats,, they lay infront of both. In today's world it's nice to have the calming effect of a "fireplace" to relax with. I'm sure it will save on my electric bill this winter too. Having one in the living room and one in the bedroom will make for a toasty season; and not everyone gets to say they have a cozy, ambient flame in their bedroom, even if it's a Duraflame Infrared Quartz 3D Stove. The flame is what I bought each for, not the heat. I'm pleasantly surprised with how warm and QUIET these are. Took less than a 2 mins just screw the 4 plastic legs on the bottom of each (not sure why they're plastic, but one can't tell). Plugged it in, turned it on, POOF no mess instant ambiance and warmth. 🔥😊

The infrared heat warms the room up very nicely, so the room stays warm longer, once the heating is turned off, and you just want flame for viewing. I find this type of heat is better than the regular electric I use to own. Beautiful beveled glass front door. Remote control is handy and temp setting is on the stove, but all can be turned on and off with remote. The flame has several settings for amount of flame you want to view. Great reviews on this stove, excellent delivery. Was worth the money to get through the long winter darkness!!

Los botones de encendido, temperatura y tipo de flama están detrás de la puerta y no están iluminados, por lo que se necesita luz ambiental o de una lámpara para poder verlos. El control remoto solo enciende y apaga o cambia la flama, pero no se puede ver a qué se está cambiando porque los signos están detrás de la puerta. No hace mucho ruido, únicamente el sonido del ventilador. Para un lugar cerrado de tamaño pequeño (unos 40-50 mts 2) funciona muy bien. Lo considero un producto excelente, mucho mejor que otros similares que he tenido. Edición en 2018: Un año después sigue funcionando muy bien. Lo que no puedo creer, ¡es el precio actual! ¿Cómo pudo haber aumentado 4 veces en un año?
