The cord attached to the controls reaches to about halfway up the blanket. so unless you have a stand halfway up your bed the control ends up on the floor quite a ways from your hands. I loved that the heating wires covered the top of the blanket really well. Tge heated area measured 49” wide by 53” long on the full size blanket. Just perfect. Had a Good control and seemed well made, fluffy. If only it got hotter but It could be just the one I got though - I didn’t try to exchange because I wasn’t crazy about the double Sherpa style, but I think most people would like it.

Once the heat is turned on it gives the option of low to high heat levels. My ONLY complaint is the cords. The cords are attached and one plugs in at the bottom of the blanket. The cord attached to the controls reaches to about halfway up the blanket. so unless you have a stand halfway up your bed the control ends up on the floor quite a ways from your hands. In order to make adjustments or turn it off and on you need to find it on the floor and awkwardly make it the adjustment. With a cord placement improvement this blanket would definitely be a 5!
