**Introduction** The Sunbeam Electric Throw is a cozy and convenient solution for staying warm during chilly days and nights. This soft, flannel heated blanket comes in a stylish grey color and measures 50" x 60". It is equipped with four heat settings to ensure personalized comfort, and its fast-heating capabilities make it an ideal companion for those looking to get snug quickly. The 4-hour auto shut-off feature provides peace of mind, making it a safe choice for a warm, restful experience whether you're relaxing on the couch or in bed. **Advantages** 1. **Soft Texture:** The blanket features a plush, soft feel, contributing to its overall cozy experience . 2. **Effective Heating:** With four heat settings, users find it provides adequate warmth, even for particularly chilly settings . 3. **Fast Heating:** Heats up quickly within a minute, even on the lowest setting . 4. **Auto Shut-Off Feature:** The 4-hour auto shut-off adds a safety layer, preventing overheating and enhancing user safety . 5. **Discrete Wires:** Features thin wires which are almost unnoticeable, enhancing comfort . 6. **Versatile Uses:** Perfect for various settings such as watching TV, working, or just relaxing on chilly days . 7. **Good Coverage:** Sizable enough to cover a significant portion of a double bed or a cozy wrap-around . 8. **Aesthetic Appeal:** Comes in a nice grey color that complements most interiors . 9. **Durable Velvet Side:** Remains vibrant without pilling, preserving its look over time . 10. **Long Cord:** The electric cord is sufficiently long for convenient usage without the need for extensions . **Disadvantages** 1. **Limited Heating Area:** Heat does not extend to the edges, leaving several inches unheated on each side . 2. **Cord Placement:** The placement at the bottom left corner can be inconvenient depending on outlet locations . 3. **Visible Tags:** The large sewn-on tag disrupts the aesthetics and might need to be removed manually . 4. **Sherpa Material Pilling:** Over time, the Sherpa side can pill and appear less pristine . 5. **Durability Issues:** Some users report that the heating functionality diminishes after several months . 6. **Inconsistent Heating:** Variation in heating effectiveness has been noted depending on the specific model . 7. **Unappealing When Old:** Sherpa material can look worn and unattractive when it’s aged . 8. **Smaller Size for Bedding:** It's not large enough for use as a main blanket on beds . 9. **High Maintenance:** Requires delicate handling during washing to maintain its quality . 10. **Inefficient Warranty:** Difficulties in utilizing the warranty and obtaining refunds have been reported . **Conclusion** The Sunbeam Electric Throw is a widely praised heated blanket that offers warmth and comfort with convenient features like multiple heat settings and an auto shut-off. While it excels in softness and ease of use, potential buyers should note the limitations, such as a smaller effective heating area and some durability concerns over time. Overall, it proves to be a valuable addition for those seeking a comfortable, stylish, and functional heating solution. **FAQ** 1. **How quickly does the blanket heat up?** - The blanket heats up quickly, with noticeable warmth within a minute, even on the lowest setting . 2. **Are the heating wires uncomfortable?** - No, the wires are thin and barely noticeable due to the plush thickness of the blanket . 3. **Is the blanket safe to use overnight?** - Yes, the 4-hour auto shut-off feature ensures it turns off automatically, enhancing safety . 4. **Does the blanket cover a large area?** - It is sizable enough for partial bed coverage or wrapping around while sitting, but not sufficient as a main bed blanket . 5. **Is the electrical cord long enough?** - Yes, the cord is long enough for most common setups, adding to its convenience . 6. **Does the Sherpa side maintain its quality over time?** - Some users report pilling and a worn-out look in the Sherpa material after several months . 7. **Can the blanket be machine washed?** - Yes, though care should be taken to wash it on a delicate cycle to preserve its quality . 8. **Is the Sunbeam Electric Throw suitable for cold outdoor scenarios?** - It is more suited for indoor use, such as in chilly rooms or during cold weather indoors . 9. **What should I do if my blanket stops heating efficiently?** - Verify all connections first, and consider warranty options if under coverage, though there might be challenges involved . 10. **Is the blanket available in other colors?** - Yes, it is available in different colors, with each having a unique appeal .

Title: Very soft and cozy!
Content: I love this blanket! The wires that run through it are very thin, so combined with the the thickness of this plush blanket you almost don't notice them. It heats up to be very warm, and the auto shut off is just the right amount of time. Highly recommended.

Title: Warm and works well, but a few disappointments
Content: The blanket is soft and warm, heats up quickly, and the heat settings seem to work well. It has four levels of heat, I have only had it up to level 2 and I have been comfy on the couch with it watching TV, which is what I wanted it for. I like the color and the sherpa lining is soft and comfy. The blanket is warm even with the heat off. However, there are a few things I am disappointed with. The area of heat is not very large and doesn't go all the way to the edges of the blanket. You can see in the pictures where the stitching ends is where the heating element ends, leaving about 7-8 inches on either side where there is no heat. The cord placement is in an inconvenient spot down at the bottom left corner, so if you don't have an outlet to plug it in on that side the cord gets in the way. Also, there's a massive tag with the washing instructions sewn right on to the front of the blanket, which is a bit ugly. I may end up just cutting it off and saving it for when it needs washing. Overall the blanket is nice and it works for what I needed it for, but I dropped a star due to the issues pointed out above.

Title: Quit working after 3 months
Content: Initially I loved this throw. It worked perfectly and was warm and cozy. Performed perfectly. Size was great, it looked nice and wasn’t that gross cheap fleece material. That lasted about 3 months. Fabric Quality/durability: The Sherpa side of it over a couple weeks started to pill and look dirty. I used this blanket on my lap at work in a chilly office, so it did not see any rough kind of use at all. No kids, no pets on it. It barely moved besides when I would get up from my desk I would move it aside and it would stay on the side of my chair. The Sherpa I believe is just a polyester that’s made in a way that it almost behaves like a soft Velcro, if that makes sense. It grabs whatever fabric you have on with friction, and it stores it. I was wearing red cotton pants one day and noticed red fibers like almost intertwined in the sherpa. Annoying, and a fabric shaver really wouldn’t help. I just picked at it and was like oh well. Then I decided to take it home and wash it. I followed the instructions, delicate, and it didn’t improve anything. It just looked the same. Pilled and intertwined with other fabrics. The fluffy Sherpa eventually turns into smooshed, pilled dirtly looking Sherpa. At this point I was just glad it was at my office and not on my couch looking like that. I will note though that the green pretty velvet side stayed super vibrant, and didn’t dull or pill. It still looks very nice even now. I continued to use this from when I bought it at the beginning of Dec, and washed it I’d say end of January? Once. Then about March it just wasn’t has hot as it used to. I thought maybe it just wasn’t connected all the way or something, but no. Heating element or whatever was going out. Just barely gets hot. I kept using it, and it was just feeble warmth. Spring came and I brought it home to wash again and I put it in a closet to forget about it until now. It’s chilly again so I brought it out. Investigated it more closely. Did a cord fray or get stepped on? No. Cords look brand new. Blanket just is shot. I’m buying another $40-$50 bs blanket right now, and thought I’d leave a review for others to stay away from this one. Disappointing and Shoddy. I refuse to put this in a box, stand in line at ups, and pay return shipping for $15-$20 to use my “warranty” that probably doesn’t mean anything and get a “refund” I’d rather be out the $40 and live and learn. Bought a sunbeam one bc I thought they were supposed to be good. Read all the reviews everyone, not just the ppl who bought it plugged it in and used it a week and wrote a review that it’s the best thing ever. Don’t buy this.

Content: Very soft and easy to use. Perfect for putting over your lap to cozy up on the couch. It is not very thick or plush, but both sides are very soft. Throw size is not large enough to use as an extra blanket on a bed, not even for just one side. The Sable color is a really pretty jewel tone green/blue. Pictures included are on a king size bed.

Title: I'm in the middle here--it would be 2.5.
Content: Okay, so I ordered this in Nov 22 and LOVE IT. It was the 4 heat setting, love the sherpa soft side, it gets very warm. I wfh mostly and even use it in the Summer because my bf has the AC on zero degrees (to me anyway). So I decided to purchase a backup one so I could alternate when I needed to wash it or on certain days I had to go into the office or whatever, because I LOVED IT. Amazon sent me an obvious returned blanket--listed as new, which I returned (because....was it used? Idk) This blanket, though, was the 3 heat setting controller. So I ordered a 3rd one (I cannot stress how much I love and use the first one) and this one is also the 3 heat setting controller. I said whatever and put it away. It came time to wash the first blanket so I open the 3rd alternate and....even on the higher setting, it's barely warm. It sucks. But I have to use it for a week or so because I want to make sure blanket 1 is thoroughly dry before plugging back in. Go back to blanket 1--beautiful, warm, cozy....for about 2 more months and it's blinking at me so I have a case in with Sunbeam. Tried 3rd blanket for at least some warmth since blanket 1 is down, now that one doesn't even work either. I won't order another from here b/c I know the 3 heat setting one sucks from the start. Moral of the story: don't fall in love with a product and wait more than a week to buy a duplicate haha. Amazon needs to update their description and pictures here. If I could find another 4 heat setting one, I would buy it no hesitation. Even for the 8 months I used it, I sort of got my money's worth--because the price wasn'tthat bad (is this why the honey color is cheaper than the others?) It was perfect, the other one sucks.

Title: Cozy and easy to use
