Title: EXACTLY what we needed/wanted!
Content: This is one sturdy/solid fire grate!! Our last one lasted for 10+ years, bit it was finally time to get a new one. wanted one close to same size and sturdy. THIS GRATE IS PERFECT!!! Very heavy - but I can still tilt one side up with one hand when cleaning. Solid metal. THICK metal. Size as advertised. It's made it through a few fireplace fires so far this season - 2 of which were all day sessions. Meaning started fire early in morning 6-7:30 am & kept going till about 10:30 pm-midnight. Not a single problem whatsoever. Other than the soot/ash can't even tell it was used. No blistering or change in shape/structure. THIS IS A FABULOUS PURCHASE and we are ABSOLTELY THRILLED!!!

Many others in this price range offer square tubing, some of those are not solid, leaving narrow weld points. The round bar just makes much more sense. The ribs are spaced just right (almost 2"). The black finish looks durable as well. I really like the middle support bar to further prevent sagging over time. Again, this was all well though out. The curved ribs also does a good job keeping the wood pile in the center. For the price, you really can't beat it.

Installation, well you just have to sit it inside the fireplace. Recommend this one for its quality and price.

Very heavy - but I can still tilt one side up with one hand when cleaning. Solid metal. THICK metal. Size as advertised. It's made it through a few fireplace fires so far this season - 2 of which were all day sessions. Meaning started fire early in morning 6-7:30 am & kept going till about 10:30 pm-midnight. Not a single problem whatsoever. Other than the soot/ash can't even tell it was used. No blistering or change in shape/structure. THIS IS A FABULOUS PURCHASE and we are ABSOLTELY THRILLED!!!

Many others in this price range offer square tubing, some of those are not solid, leaving narrow weld points. The round bar just makes much more sense. The ribs are spaced just right (almost 2"). The black finish looks durable as well. I really like the middle support bar to further prevent sagging over time. Again, this was all well though out. The curved ribs also does a good job keeping the wood pile in the center. For the price, you really can't beat it.
