Content: We burn a fire every night and the grates other sellers offer are not made with 3/4" bar stock despite what they say. They use 1/2" stock but measure the diagonal from point to point to claim something near 3/4". It is not 3/4" and will not last a season for someone burning real fires. To the point of those who talk about keeping the coals between the bars, well, real woodfire makers know you need a good bed of ash to easily light and project heat from the fire. That and a large log in the back of the fireplace that is replaced every few days. This grate is excellent in all ways, it is even powder coated for an initial appearance, and for those who display white birch logs.
