It's not the same/as powerful as actually grounding by sleeping on the ground outside, but I noticed a difference in my body the first morning I woke up, after sleeping on it. I'm less achy & stiff! Also, I can tell that it's really grounded because when the cat is on it & you pet her she's not staticky! (We live in Colorado & it gets extra dry here in cold weather when you run the heater a lot. Which in turn means zapping the cat every time you pet her unless you just washed your hands or put lotion on... 😬) It's not as soft as my regular sheets, but soft enough to be comfortable.
