They were very well folded and had obvious flaws such as stains or signs of poor manufacture. But, being that as it may, we popped them through a wash cycle to see how they would come out, and they did just fine. No color bleeding or frayed seems. For some reason, sheets in general are rated by their "threads per inch", with more threads being more expensive. But those sheets take a considerable time to become "soft". The sheets are nicely soft right out of the gate. Their softness reminds me of the bed clothes of my youth, and that is a pleasant memory. This sheet is reasonably priced and based on what I see, they will last for a long time. If you need a special sort of sheet, or sheets, to fit your decor or to replace an accidental washing machine disaster, these will meet the mark. I bought them, I like them, and we're using them. Or, at least our guests are.
