Title: OUTSTANDING RESULTS
Content: We have a large Outdoor Wood Furnace that is active from October 15 through late April and burn about 18 cord per season. I used, almost exclusively, dead elm that was losing it's bark and assorted fall downs from the woodlot on our property. Moisture lever, for the most part was 15% to 25%, as measured with a moisture meter. Almost never cut a live tree as there are plenty of fall-downs. This product was purchased in early January when a different brand was running out. Used one tablespoon full every other load of wood and tossed and spread it into the fire. This summer, I checked the triple wall metal chimney. With shaky legs, nerves on edge, and a heavy rope tied around my waist, my 83 year old bones ventured onto the metal roof of the pole barn that houses the furnace. Using a wire chimney cleaning brush and accessories, it was surprising at the ease of which the brush moved up and down the chimney. Got down safely, albeit a little shaky. To my amazement, less than four coffee cups of powdered creosote was removed from the clean-out. Double checked the chimney condition with a flex mirror on a metal extension shaft and found it extremely clean with no build up. That says an awful lot about the effectiveness of this product. A lid that it very difficult to remove and a little pricy, but five pounds goes a long way... and if you've ever had a chimney fire, and I have in years past, the cost of this product is well worth every cent. Highly recommended. PLEASE CHANGE THE LID. Hope this helps.

Title: Great Stuff!
Content: This creosote remover does a great job keeping our woodstove free of creosote buildup. Of course, we use good wood and burn hot enough. Our chimney sweep always compliments the condition of our stove. Would recommend Creosote Destroyer for anyone with a wood stove.

Title: Product preforms good, but…..
Content: Product does the job even loosened creosote that had build up for years. Doesn’t prevent creosote it just keeps it from sticking to chimney. Creosote actually flakes off. You still have to CLEAN FLU REGULARLY. This product makes it much easier for me to clean chimney than before I used it. Would have given it 5 stars, but shipping packaging is very poor. Have gotten two shipments and both times containers was damaged. Need to put container in sealed plastic bag before putting in shipping box so any spilled product can be recovered. Use appropriate size box and packaging so container doesn’t crack or break from shifting around during shipping.

Title: most sound good but that's about it
Content: I had stage 3 creosote build up in my masonry chimney which developed when I purchased a wood furnace that was far too large for our home and had to burn it on low to avoid running us out of our home due to the amount of heat the furnace produced. At 57 years of age I have never purchased a product that exceeded my hopes or expectations, most sound good but that's about it. The creosote build up was about a quarter inch thick, black glossy and hard like glass, no amount of brushing would scratch it. I bought this product as a last chance give it a shot product before replacing the chimney or getting a $900.00 chemical mop scrub. I used it several times a week for about a month and warm weather finally came and I stopped burning the furnace in early March. Towards the end of March I replaced my roof and looked in the chimney to see if the product worked. I saw no change and was not too disappointed because I wasn't expecting much anyway. Well today several months later (October) I went back to the chimney to prepare for winter and to try a chain flail to tackle the creosote and to my total surprise the CHIMNEY WAS CRYSTAL CLEAN !, the flue liner looked remarkable, I mean like new remarkable, no Creosote, no soot, just a new looking flue liner. I went back down and opened the chimney cleanout to find buckets full of small flaked and powdered creosote, the creosote destroyer caused it to just fall off, I cleaned out the fallen creosote and my chimney is exactly like new. POINT BLANK: I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED, THIS STUFF WORKS AND WORKS REMARKABLY. Don't hesitate buy it!

Title: CHIMNEY FIRE IS NOT FUN - This product works great
Content: Experienced a chimney fire while using a different product , did some looking and decided to try this and have been very pleased. I have an older large Fisher wood stove and it is a known creosote maker . I use it for my main heat source , it's not unusual to keep a fire going for a week plus . I use this product consistently every other day using about twice as much as suggested . This routine was arrived at after using it at different intervals and doses and keeping check on the condition of the inside of the chimney between fires . This product converts the creosote to a light weight powdery substance that will still collect on the inside of the chimney and chimney cap , but is easy to clean. I have 26' of chimney so I have to keep an eye on the chimney cap , it will get clogged with the powdery residue collecting in foam like clumps. I believe the long chimney along with not running large fires is the cause of the cap stopping up . The inside of the pipe has no hard creosote , only the powdery build up that cleans readily with the chimney brush. Other products I tried before didn't work near this well. Wood stoves are much more problematic with creosote than fireplaces but both need this product for your safety.

Title: Works well
Content: I have a Vermont Castings small fireplace insert that I burn 24-7 in the coldest months. I put 2 scoops on top of a load of fresh logs twice a week. I let it burn off the destroyer before opening the door for the catalytic converter. Though I have let it exhaust through the converter before, I feel it might work better just having an open flue. Years before using this product I found that sometime mid-season I would have to clean the flue. Not easy to get on the roof in the middle of winter especially when it's a metal roof. Now I only clean in the spring, and I have also not had a chimney fire since its use. Also, if I let the fire go out, starting a new fire in with a cold flue allows the creosote build-up break loose and fall into the firebox.

Also, if I let the fire go out, starting a new fire in with a cold flue allows the creosote build-up break loose and fall into the firebox.

Title: Worked
Content: The powder worked in my pellet stove very little build up in my chimney not even much dust, I also used it on my wood furnace which had a lot of creosote build up when I started but the chimney wasn't as bad as it has been in the past, the wood I am using has dried for 2 years. I have cleaned everything up in the furnace and chimney hopefully it will work for me this next season.
