For storage you just need some steel nearby to stick them to. If your curtain rod is steel that could work, or you could screw a washer to the wall. We recommend them.

Content: These magnetic curtain tie-backs are exactly what we needed. They complement our white curtains so well. They are a bit loose for the curtain panels we have, but they stay on nicely if you (your kids) leave them alone. The black rope wrapped around them seems like it is attached well. I’ve had curtain tie-backs in the past that I loved that were similar but the rope part came unraveled after a while. I like that these ones can stay on even with only going around the curtain one time. They look nice that way. The magnet is strong. Quite pleased with that. Overall a good buy. If you need 4 matching black curtain tie-backs like I did, I believe that you’ll be happy with these.

Content: I ordered these for the blackout curtains I put in my RV to replace the day/night accordion blinds that were failing badly. I was intrigued by the magnetic ends that made it free from dangling cord ends (I have an indoor cat that loves to terrorize string, cord or rope of any kind, lol) and figured I would give them a shot. The ends were a little bigger than I expected but they work really well and let me hang the tie-back when not in use magnetically from the curtain rod out of kitty's reach. They are made of a shiny satiny type of cording with cone shaped fittings on the ends wrapped in smaller color-matching satin cording that contain magnets that hold well....just touch them together and you're done. My curtains are small so these are a little long but that's easy to solve by just wrapping them a second time around the curtain before securing, as demonstrated in the pics in the ad. Works perfect and the color goes with my curtains nicely. These add a nice little touch of "luxury" look and I'm glad I got them. I would order them again.

Content: Let’s get the one downfall out of the way regarding these tie backs…THE MAGNET NEEDS TO BE STRONGER…especially if you have thick, insulated/thermal curtains. I do like the simple elegance of the tie backs. They’re well-made with quality rope. The ropes and cone shaped covered magnets have a silky look and feel, not a “matte” finish. The tie backs are very versatile in that you can use them with any decor and there’s many ways you can use them to hold back your curtains. Improve on the strength of the magnet and they’d be 5-star. I do highly recommend them if your curtains are light to mid-weight…tiebacks can still be used with heavier curtains but I’ve noticed with my insulated curtains the magnetic connection will come apart easily if the curtains are slightly bumped.

Content: These are really well-made curtain tiebacks. You can use the magnets, or not - they're just as easy to tie up traditionally if you don't want to use the magnets. The magnets are strong enough to attach to themselves through the curtain as well if you're going for a more invisible look. And if you've got metal on your window/door where your curtains are, these tie backs have even more applications. They are a little heavy for something like light weight sheer curtains, but if you wrap them around enough you can make them work. They work best (and, in my opinion, look best) on a thicker curtain.
