Content: I got this thermometer to monitor whether my central heating was adequately warming the room where the baby sleeps. That room is at the far end of the house and has a lot of windows exposed to sometimes subfreezing temperatures. It seems accurate. When I felt subjectively cold, it showed a higher temperature than when I felt subjectively warm. It was so sensitive that it was important to put it in an appropriate point in the room. As it showed, that temperature on a window sill was degrees lower than the temperature immediately under the heating duct, and the temperature on the floor, immediately under the baby's bassinette, was slightly lower than inside the bassinette. On the whole, the temperature at a neutral point in the room was within tenths of a degree of the setting on my thermostat -- thus vindicating my central heating system. The virtue of this thermometer is that it's small and cheap. It doesn't take up much real estate, you can put it exactly where you want it, and it works as well as larger, more expensive thermometers.
