Title: Love this mattress pad
Content: So we had a mattress pad for years until our house burned down. I have been looking for a replacement for almost a year now but was reluctant to spend $120-$150 for a new one. I finally took the plunge on this one due to the reviews and pricing point and I am glad that I did. I missed having my bed warm when I get in it and the Pre-heat function on this item can't be beat. I bought the King Size with dual control. I would like to address some of the negative reviews that I have seen on this item. First is the location of the plug. Yes, it is at the foot of the bed and is located on top of the bed instead of on the side. This was my main concern when I purchased this because my old mattress pad had the plug on the side. I have had no issues with the location of this plug. It is in the center of the bed so I do not hit it since I sleep on one side. I would like to note that if you were a person who was tall AND slept in the middle of the bed, I could see how this would be annoying but I think that simply placing the plug at the top where it would be under your pillow would be a solution. For myself, this was a non issue. Second is how hot the pad gets. I will agree that this thing is very warm on low settings. I did try to place the setting on High and it was just too hot. I like to sleep very warm and my setting doesn't go past 2. I have a routine of turning it on pre-heat about 10 minutes before I am ready for bed and by the time I crawl in, the bed is so very warm and the setting is already at 2. I don't have to worry about remembering to turn off the heater when I get up in the morning because it does shut off after 10 hours. I will agree with other reviewers that the ability to select the number of hours to shut off would be very nice but for the price, I can deal with what I got. The third complaint is feeling the wires when you sleep at night. I put the heated mattress pad on my mattress and then put a waterproof mattress pad over it and then my sheets and I can still feel the wires slightly. Not so much that it bothers me but I could see it bothering someone who was sensitive to that. If you have the ability to add another layer of something between you and the heated mattress pad that would help with reducing how much you feel. For me, this was a non issue because it didn't bother me and I wasn't expecting something plush with the price point of this item. If even the slightest feel of the wires will bother you, then I would recommend spending the extra money on one that has a higher fill content. Overall, I am very please with my purchase. So much so, that I bought two more in Twin size for my boys. They have permanently camped out in my bed since I have had this item and I know the only way to get them back to their own beds is to give them one of their own. Since I have only had this item for about 3 weeks now, I can't comment on its longevity but I will make it a point to update this review in a year to comment on that part. If you want a heated mattress pad that is functional and reasonably priced, try this one. Update 04/11/18: So I took longer to update this review than expected but I still agree with my original review. The pad has held up beautifully and works as good today as it did on day one. Even the ones I purchased for my kids are still going strong. This heated pad hasn't let me down and I feel that it is a great product for its longevity and working like it should. I would like to see future versions of this item get an adjustable timer but that might increase the price. This is a great heated pad and I didn't have to pay a fortune for it. If you are on the fence, get off and buy this one. Update 01/16/23: The heating pad is still going strong. I have noticed that I can now tolerate a higher level heat (now 5). Not sure if it is because I have gotten older thus colder (LOL) or if the heating element may be degrading. I'm still warm at night so I'm still very happy with this purchase. I originally bought this back in 2016 and here we are in 2023 and it is going strong. I feel that I have gotten my money's worth and if it ever dies on me, I will be buying a new one.

Title: Warm, Easy to setup
Content: I bought three of these mattress heating pads: one for each of our beds. I am very happy with them. I like how quickly they heat up (within a few minutes) and I like the range of heat settings. I have the heat set to level 10 for a few minutes before I get into bed, and then I turn it down to level 4 or below to last through the remainder of the night. I do not feel the cords running through the mattress pad, it is very comfortable, and it was very easy to set up. The controller is within arms reach on my nightstand. I like the automatic shut off timer, which can be set from 1 to 12 hours.

Title: Sunbeam trusted products. So nice in winter!
Content: This mattress pad heater is such a nice thing to have in winter! I've always had heated mattress pads and would never go without. There is nothing like climbing into a hot, cozy bed at the end of a cold day. This Sunbeam heater works great! Ive had it for a few months now. Heats up fast and has a safety auto shutoff which i find reassuring in case i leave it on. I previously had another Sunbeam that lasted around 7 years. So i trust this brand and their products. Sunbeam's customer service is also top notch! I especially find heated mattress pads helpful when I'm sick and have the chills- a heated mattress pad will make them go away asap. I will never go without one! Love it! 5 stars!

Title: Works great, but a few gripes
Content: So the main gripes I have with this are: -It didn't come in retail packaging, it was just vacuum sealed in giant Ziplock style bag. -It came without instructions, but is fairly easy to set up, but getting the controllers mixed up is too easy if you don't know how to set it up. But it is fairly simple, once you connect the cable to the pad, make sure you run it along the right side of the bed, that way the controllers will be with the appropriate side. -The cabling is set up kind of oddly as far as I'm concerned. the whole thing is one long cord. So there is the single plug into the pad, followed by 6-7 feet of cable, the first controller, 5-ish feet to the next controller, and then a few feet for the wall plug. So this all worked fine when I had it laid out incorrectly where my wife and I were controlling each others sides. When we fixed the controller locations the wiring impeded our ability for me to put my controller in a convenient place, it's basically under my pillow in-between my mattress and the wall. -I don't understand why companies who make devices for use while trying to sleep, make this very simple mistake. The backlight on the controllers is blue, and doesn't appear to be adjustable. It disrupted both my wife and I's sleep the first night and we had to flip the controllers over to stop the light bleed. -My last gripe is probably the one I have the biggest issue with. So it says it has an auto off feature, which it does, but it doesn't work like the auto off feature on one of their heated blankets that I owned. The blanket would shut the entire thing down, shutting of the screen as well. The cover shuts off the heat when the timer is up, but leaves the display on and lit until you actually shut it off. Those issues aside the heating works well and is comfortable, and it seems to get fairly warm, as when my wife and I had the controllers switched I set "my side" to 4 out of 10 and she was sweating to death, granted it wasn't really cold at the time.

Title: Love the warmth of this pad
Content: I purchased this particular mattress pad as it was quilted and made of cotten. Others are made of polyester which makes me sweat. The king-size pad has nice deep pockets and fit our bed well. We put on about an hour before bed to toast up the sheets, then turn down low for the night. We don't feel the wires. I do place my fitted sheet over the pad. The controls are good with the temp settings. I wish it had a preheat setting. It is a good value for the price.

Title: Heat from barely anything to feverishly hot
Content: My girlfriend and I like to sleep in a cool room with warm blankets, only I liked the room cooler than her and she'd get chilly. Boom, with this, the bed's always just right and I can turn the heat nearly off overnight! Saves us money on our heating bill and the bed is just oh-so-welcoming. So naturally, my daughter wanted one of her own. This twin-sized one was for her, and she loves it. The heat goes from basically not noticeable (1) to about my own body temperature (4, which is how I like to sleep) to really hot like you wanna melt those muscles knots in your back (8) to "oh no my bed's going to catch fire" (12, which I use for about 5 minutes to preheat the bed). I sometimes feel like any heat beyond 6 isn't really useful for anything, but it's nice to have the option! The auto-shutoff works great. The only minor complaint is that the screen stays on (with the LED off, of course) once the auto-shutoff did its thing, and I think you can't adjust the heat without turning it off and on again. It's just a minor nuisance and nothing I'd fight over, it's just a little quirk you have to learn. Overall I love it, and I don't see myself surviving winters without one anymore.

Love it! 5 stars!
