Title: NO NEED TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER STOVE!
Content: I ordered this stove a few weeks ago and it arrived quickly after 7 days. Considering it was shipped across country I'd say that's very reasonable. DESIGN: 8/10 The design of this stove is REALLY nice. It is stout. It's not cheap or flimsy by any means. It weighs around 320 lbs so be aware of that. You'll need a buddy to help you move it. It did weigh less than the wood stove that it replaced, so after moving the wood stove, this pellet stove didn't seem that bad. My dad and I moved it in the house with a hand truck. If you're moving it up stairs you'll need at least three big guys. The look of it is amazing. The bay window is beautiful and the angular design looks really nice. It's a mix of industrial and modern. This stove would look good and command attention anywhere from a cabin to a new modern home. One small thing that doesn't really look right to me is the curved face of the extended hopper. I just don't think that curved design fits well with all the sharp angles of the stove but it's not that big of a deal. Some people might not even notice it. I think a redesign of the curved area to be straight or a matching angle to the face of the stove would be a nice update. The only real issue there is with the design, and it's a BIG issue, is the size of the hopper opening. It is way too small. There's really no reason for it to be that small ,either. It would be a very simple fix to make the opening 2 or 3x larger. There's plenty of room to do that both on depth and width. Another option may be too redesign the entire top to lift up like many other pellet stove do, creating an easy pour into the hopper. This is an issue that seriously needs addressed if anyone from ComfortBilt is reading this. It's an easy fix and one of the only bad marks on this stove. One other design feature that would be very nice would be an update to the control panel on the stove itself. The sticker that's on there with the Comfort Bilt logo just looks a little cheap. Something like a small stainless steel faceplate with an engraved logo would really top it off. The cheap looking sticker just doesn't fit with this sturdy, well built stove. This goes for the remote as well. It's nice to have the remote, it just looks and feels cheap. It needs updated to be on par with the level of the stove itself. The last design feature that would put this stove OVER THE TOP would be wifi controls. Many of the pellets BBQ grills (that function exactly the same way as a pellet stove) are introducing wifi compatability. You may think there's no need for this, but let me tell you, it's very very nice being able to turn you thermostat or woodstove on at work and have the house nice and toasty by the time you walk in the door. I realize this is a large undertaking but if ComfortBilt came out with an updated WiFi control panel I'd buy one in a heart beat. INSTRUCTIONS: 3/10 Instructions are obviously translated from Chinese and there are a lot of times entire sentences are smashed together with no spacing. It makes it hard to read but not impossible. The content of the instructions themselves arent very thorough, either. No mention of the exhaust voltage that I noticed. It also didn't mention the fresh air intake adjustment towards the back, either, but I found it after watching a YouTube video. PERFORMANCE: 10/10 WOW this stove puts out MAJOR HEAT. I'd almost caution anyone with a very small home about this. We currently have a 1200 sq ft mobile home and we're planning on building anew house next spring. This stove can absolutely burn us out of the current mobile home. It should fit really well in the new, larger house. Our mobile home is old and drafty and we don't need to set the stove any higher than level 2. At level 5 we have to open the windows and door to cool the house down. I've seen other pellet stoves including my parents and nothing I've ever seen comes even remotely close to the heat this thing puts out! PRICE: 10/10 the price just can't be beat. With all the features this stove has and it's amazing performance, I would highly recommend it over more well known stoves that you'll pay 2x as much for. CUSTOMER SERVICE: 10/10 GREAT customer service. Every question I had was answered very quickly. Overall if HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STOVE! The price, the features, the performance, the quality... It's all fantastic. The one glaring issue of the hopper opening size is a small price to pay for everything this stove offers. UPDATE #1: I originally rated this stove at 4 stars because of the tiny lid opening; literally the only mark against this stove. I changed the rating to a 5 star because I don't think a minor design fkaw like a small lid opening should overshadow the incredible performance, value and features of this unit. UPDATE #2: This stove could do very well with a shutdown mode on the thermostat setting. For instance, I set the temperature to be 73. The stove quickly reaches that, and once it hits the target temp, it drops to a stage 1 burn (the smallest flame). The problem is, the temperature still climbs on stage 1. If the thermostat could shut down the stove, then relight it once the room temp dropped below a certain point, this would keep the room from getting too hot and wasting pellets. Just a thought for Comfort Bilt to consider. UPDATE #3: I feel like I've had it long enough to review it's efficiency, cleanliness and noise: EFFICIENCY: 7/10 This stove is pretty efficient for how much heat it puts out. You have to remember that to make heat, it takes fuel, so there is a trade off when talking about heat output vs fuel usage. That being said, taking into account the TONS of heat this stove produces, it really is pretty good on pellet consumption. I have it a 7/10 because there are more efficient stoves out there but don't expect anywhere near the performance of this one. I go through about a 40lb bag every 24 hrs in winter, very drafty mobile home usually set on level 2 burning in the mornings and evenings when we're home. The other really nice thing about this stove is that it had a very wide range, meaning if you want to set it on level 1 and have a very small flame and low blower noise, you can. Or, you can crank it up all the way to 5 and it becomes an absolute inferno. So the range of this stove is very wide and not typical of other stoves that either have a hi/low setting etc. QUIETNESS: 7/10 This thing is pretty quiet when set to the 1 and 2 levels. Very easy to forget it's even running. Once you get up into the 4 and 5 settings the blower is more noticeable for sure but not that bad. Id actually rather have a nice blower that turns up as high as this one does to distribute heat better. CLEANLINESS: 9/10 This stove is really clean. The higher the setting the cleaner it (should) burn. Lower settings and smaller flames will put out more smoke and soot, naturally, but this student is really clean and really easy to clean out when needed. If you're coming from a wood stove like I did, it will amaze you how little ash this stove creates. I have to empty the burn pot out every 3 or 4 burns but is extremely easy to do. The ash drawer below the burn pot needs emptied maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks. Very easy. Just pull the drawer out and dump it. The reason the burn pot needs emptied out every 3 or 4 burns is because the ash in the burn pot will get caked in there over time and eventually the igniter won't be able to ignite the fire with a thick layer of ash. I just take the burn pot out, turn it upside down and give it a few taps and all the ash falls right out. UPDATE #4: Also, the stove will shut down before the hopper is 100% empty. Mine did an empty hopper shutdown with maybe 10 lbs of pellets still in the hopper. Not a huge deal. The hopper could use a redesign to allow the pellets to fall into the auger more effectively. Another option would be small vibrators on the sides of the hopper that would turn on when the pellet stove get low. We empty train cars at work and the hoppers in the train cars are very similar to the shape of this pellet stove hopper (but much bigger of course). When the cargo stops falling out if the rail car, we attach pnumatic vibrators to the car and shake the excess cargo out that's stuck to the sides of the hopper. A small vibrator on the pellet stove hopper would work really well. Over time the auger started clunking. I burned the hopper all the way empty to check it out. I found that all of the pellet dust settled to the bottom of the hopper and was binding up the auger a bit and making it clunk. There was a lot of pellet dust in the bottom, but we have been using this stove non stop. I vacuumed the dust out and cleared up the auger and the clunking issue seems to be resolved. A great idea for any pellet stove manufacturers reading this might be a screen in the bottom of the hopper with a dust clean-cut. That way all the dust will settle through the screen into a catch bin for easy clean out as well and help keep pellet dust from building up around the auger. Just a thought. Still very VERY happy with our purchase. We've been using it as our main heat source in the winter. UPDATE #5: I have ran 4 tons (8,000 lbs) of pellets through this thing already. It makes A HUGE difference on the type of pellets you use. If you buy this, try about 4 or 5 bags of a few different brands each to see what burns the best. Make sure they are premium pellets. The type if pellet makes a huge difference in performance. Right now I'm using Olympus 100% Douglas Fir and this stove is burning the best its ever burned, hotter, quieter and using less pellets.

Title: Quite pleased with this stove
Content: I ordered the stove in August. It was delivered quickly and dropped in my driveway with no obvious issues from shipping. I managed, with the assistance of a couple of grown kids, to get it in the front door. It sat there a while as I built up the courage to get it up the stairs. It's heavy. Very heavy. By the last weekend of September I had the hearth pad, outside air kit, and exhaust kit in hand and installed the stove. With some assistance in moving the stove to get everything lined up (did I mention that it's heavy?), installation took about four hours to cut the two holes needed for exhaust and outside air and to put everything together. So far I have run the stove for a few nights only. I was lucky to find one bag of premium softwood pellets for the first run. The stove ran flawlessly and provided more than enough heat on setting one (in fact too much - with outside temps in the low 40s the house rapidly hit high 80s.) Later on, with the only pellets I could find, that are not fantastic, the house maintained low 70s heat with outside temps in the mid 30s. Long story short, I have very high hopes for this stove and expect it to have zero problems heating my home. Fortunately high quality pellets are available to buy by the ton and it's my intention to run them exclusively as long as they are available. They clearly provide more heat and less ash. I should add that the build quality of this stove seems very good to me. It's heavy, solid, and the fasteners used as well as the alignment of parts and panels indicate to me that some qc is used in it's construction. It is not cheaply made and given the quality I see I'm quite impressed with the price. 12/28 Update I've run about 2 tons through the stove and I'm still very pleased. My 1900 sq foot home (1000 sqft on living floor and 900 sqft in unfinished basement) has been warmed adequately when outside temps were as low as 11F. The living area is staying 77 - 74, depending on how close it is to the stove. The unfinished basement is staying in the mid fifties, warmer than it did with central heating. I did the first deep cleaning after the first ton and it took maybe 45 minutes. This involves taking off the sides, removing access panels, and vacuuming out ash from the guts of the stove with an ash vac. It's not incredibly difficult to do, but it does need to be done, so that maintenance should be considered when evaluating the stove for your needs. I would also recommend picking up a "care package" from the dealer website. This includes all the parts on the stove that can wear in the future. While I've had zero issues with the stove I know that eventually things will wear, and having all the needed parts on site can get me heat quicker than waiting for shipment. I continue to highly recommend this stove.

Title: Heats great. Lots of quality of life features.
Content: We bought this to replace an Englander pellet stove, came with the house, after mice got to one of our heat pumps. It's getting us through the winter just fine. Heats our 1200ft^2 cape without issue. If anything it puts out too much heat. We have to turn it off occasionally when it's 30F+ outside. The thermostat is great. Just set the temp and leave it alone. There dust pan is great. The stoves super easy to clean. Our room fan was a little noisy and customer service replaced it immediately. No regrets. Would purchase again.

Title: Customer service seals The deal
Content: I got my stove and the blower to push the air from the stove didn't work and it was overheating. They sent me a new one for FREE and it was broken in shipping. They sent me yet another one. Extremely helpful walking me through every step from diagnosis to fixing it. A1 customer service for sure. The stove itself is absolutely amazing. The heat output is better than I ever expected and the temp setting keeps my drafty 1400 sq ft house toasty with ease. The bad: the hole for filling pellets is tiny and your bound to make a mess. And it shuts off from "running out" of pellets with probably 15lbs in it. I planned on giving the stove 4 stars for these issues but the customer service and how good it works offsets the small issues.
