I ended up just using it in a spare room because it's not cotton. It's synthetic and not breathable fabric. I had already taken it out of the package and opted to keep it because you know once you take a shrink wrapped large item like this out it's not a fun time squishing it all back in to return. Plus the design was my vibe just not for me to sleep under. I will remove it when we have guests and put a cotton quilt in because I can't imagine sleeping under plastic material. It is soft and lightweight but being polyester I can imagine it being hot and uncomfy to sleep with.
