Content: Just a tip: the drain hose needs to be lower than the dehumidifier and have a place to drain. I put mine on a cabinet and the hose drains into the guest bathroom sink. Otherwise, skip the hose and empty the water directly from the dehumidifier. If you have an issue with lifting weight, I would recommend using the draining hose.

Cool thing is once it fills up the receptacle/bucket or whatever the water flows into above the hose opening, the water stops flowing in so there is never any spillage. I found once the receptacle/bucket is full, then the humidifier's receptacle takes over until that is full, then machine shuts off.

Content: This is the one. Fits gravity outlet for Ivation 4,500 Sq. Ft Energy Star Dehumidifier. Should fit any Ivation dehumidifier, as connection is universal. Pros: *Nothing frustrating, which was greatly appreciated after other frustration related to the dehumidifier. *Hook up was perfect with no leaks. Yay! *Hose is very flexible with virtually no loop memory, which was easily straightened out *Seems to be quality material for something used inside the house *That a good 12 feet long hose is available for people who need to place dehumidifier farther away from a gravity drain. My sump pump is covered and sealed due to radon remediation. Cons: A bit pricey for 12' of hose, but I haven't bought any hoses for years, so may be out of the inflation loop.
