Content: I selected easy to install because it just screws in, but if you haven't replaced one of these before, it can be challenging getting the old one out and this one in through the openings in the fireplace, otherwise it is a direct bolt in replacement. The product worked great, fired right up and the wife is happy the fireplace works again. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought a second one as these all seem to quit periodically and having one on hand, especially at this price point, would be the way to go.

Content: Edited December/2020 ----------- A week ago the thermocouple I bought here gave out after a bit more than 2 years of service. I have no idea what the expected life of this sort of item is, or what sort of usage/issues can change that lifespan, but I can say from having previous Heat'N'Glo fireplaces in my previous houses I had never changed a thermocouple before in multiple decades of using fireplaces, and now I have had to change two (the original that came with the house and now this item). I have removed a star from my previous rating for this item. That being said, the reason I came here was to buy another one to fix the previous one breaking. Since the items come very quickly with free shipping, are affordable, and can be installed in literally 10 minutes; the above won't stop me from re-ordering.....yet. Original Review from 2018 (Five Stars) ----- Worked perfectly on a Heat'N'Glo SL-750TR-E....just unroll it, snake it through a couple holes, screw it into the bracket...and voilà...fire. Turned a $XXX vendor visit into $X.
