Content: Put these bricks in September and have been running them since. It’s now thanksgiving and we have no cracks, melting or any bad issues. Hold a lot of heat cut easily when I replaced all the old bricks from this stove earlier this year. Bought a whole other batch for another stove we are restoring and will use in a basement. Content: Purchased a ton of these for my fireplace. It was not my first choice, but after visiting 3 separate box stores that said they had over 300+ bricks, and yet all three couldn’t find a single one, I arrived at Amazon. I was extremely hesitant at first, because they are extremely light. They almost feel like foamy particle board. In order to validate my disbelief, I vehemently submitted one to my blowtorch. 10 minutes of constant heat with MAP gas, and they held up just fine. I was able to easily cut them with my miter saw, next time I will probably use my hand saw to do it. Overall would recommend this product. It has been in my fireplace for several months now, and are holding up great

Content: I intentionally rated 4 stars so people will actually read my review but they are 1 star quality. I didn’t receive the product for free. I paid full price for 2 boxes and they looked pretty good from the reviews but I failed to read the 1 star reviews and am sorry I didn’t. When they arrived, they were extremely light and felt like wood or particle board. I got a little nervous as this is for a wood stove in my home and do not want to cut corners on safety. I decided to read the one star reviews and there are a number of reviews stating that the bricks warp or even melt. This greatly concerned me considering that they don’t feel like real bricks. They cut real easy so that was a plus. I ran two fires with them and they didn’t warp or melt but I honestly couldn’t trust them. I would avoid them if you are like me and don’t want to risk a fire or a ruined stove because I was trying to save like $45. I used them in my stove so I can’t return them but bought some real fire bricks and can rest easy and feel safe in my home now.
