To avoid wrinkles, I recommend removing them from the dryer as soon as it goes off then lay them out to cool down before folding (I lay them over my dining room set for a couple hours before folding). I’ve looked and looked and researched and bought replacements claiming to be Egyptian cotton only to be disappointed in the quality, primarily pilling, which feels like sleeping on sand and not for me! True Egyptian cotton does not pill because the fibers are long. I’m happy to say that California Design Den carries the real product! Here is what I learned: if you like soft sheets, buy the 400 thread count. If you like the heavier, percale feel, order the 600 thread count. The 600 is a bit “crispy” and the 400 is not. I like them both. They do carry 500 and 800 which I have not tried. I have laundered both counts several times and slept on them with no problems and don’t expect any. I ordered the sage color and it is a soft relaxing, pleasing to the eye color. There will be no pilling with these sheets. The pillow cases are long and wide enough. If manufacturer wanted to improve on pillow case, flap at the end of pillow case to keep pillow inside would be good but not super necessary. There is slight wrinkling but that is normal with cotton and not a deal breaker for me. Take them out of the dryer when finished drying for minimal wrinkles. I can’t stand those microfibre sheets. Yes they are cheaper but they make you sweat. These cotton sheets are more money than those but the functionality of them are superior. We spend about a third of our life in bed so having good quality bedding is important for a good night sleep 😴. You will be delighted with these sheets I believe if you purchase them.

Some say wrinkly - I say...duh. 100% cotton Some say lower thread count - I mention quality of thread used I'll update should I discover deteriation with use, but so far...these are PRECISELY what I'd been looking for. These sheets are 100% cotton, very soft, just the right thickness, and they wash really well. I wash on warm, normal cycle, and dry on medium heat. To avoid wrinkles, I recommend removing them from the dryer as soon as it goes off then lay them out to cool down before folding (I lay them over my dining room set for a couple hours before folding). If you do this, you will not have ANY harsh wrinkles. The feel and quality of the fabric compare well to my $110 cotton sheets from the dept store. Another reviewer had great advice to prevent pilling. She said that after every washing, you should wait at least 24 hrs before using sheets; this allows the fibers to settle which prevents pilling. If you have 2 sets on hand, it isn't a big deal to wait. The only negative is the stitching workmanship. After several washes, nothing is coming apart but there are a ton of random threads sticking out. Most are loose and can be pulled out carefully. The sheets don't seem to be coming apart though, so I'm still satisfied for the price. The fabric itself is fantastic quality, which makes it especially annoying that the company cheaped out on the stitching workmanship. These would have been 5 stars had it not been for the sloppy stitching. I still recommend these sheets and will likely buy another set for my master.

Although I rotate the sheets, I’m aware of the wear on the sheets after years of use. I’ve looked and looked and researched and bought replacements claiming to be Egyptian cotton only to be disappointed in the quality, primarily pilling, which feels like sleeping on sand and not for me! True Egyptian cotton does not pill because the fibers are long. I’m happy to say that California Design Den carries the real product! Here is what I learned: if you like soft sheets, buy the 400 thread count. If you like the heavier, percale feel, order the 600 thread count. The 600 is a bit “crispy” and the 400 is not. I like them both. They do carry 500 and 800 which I have not tried. I have laundered both counts several times and slept on them with no problems and don’t expect any. Trust me, if they pill, I’ll update. I always wash my sheets in cold water and dry on delicate, including before the first use. The sheets are 100% cotton and have a polished cotton sheen to them. So many companies sell microfiber sheets and mattress pads disguised as cotton, but they never offer the comfort of real cotton. I ordered the sage color and it is a soft relaxing, pleasing to the eye color. There will be no pilling with these sheets. The pillow cases are long and wide enough. If manufacturer wanted to improve on pillow case, flap at the end of pillow case to keep pillow inside would be good but not super necessary. There is slight wrinkling but that is normal with cotton and not a deal breaker for me. Take them out of the dryer when finished drying for minimal wrinkles. I can’t stand those microfibre sheets. Yes they are cheaper but they make you sweat. These cotton sheets are more money than those but the functionality of them are superior. We spend about a third of our life in bed so having good quality bedding is important for a good night sleep 😴. You will be delighted with these sheets I believe if you purchase them.
