Title: Almost returned but realized it was my fault
Content: These are legit perfect when they came I immediately put the three pieces together then I tried to put up the curtain and it was like an inch too big for my window. So I went to see exactly what the size was so I could order a size just a tiniest bit smaller and that's when I realized that if you take out the middle piece and just use the two pieces you could extend those two pieces to the perfect size. So don't be an idiot like me you don't have to use the middle piece for the smaller windows my window think is like 38 in so you only use the two pieces but then you twist out the second piece to extend it. Thank God I came back to the Amazon product page and saw that you could either use two pieces or all three depending on the size of your window. Hopefully that makes sense because I just talked all that to text.

Content: I ordered these at 11am in the morning and they were delivered at 9pm the same day. Well done Amazon. As far as the curtain rods themselves, I was very pleased to see how heavy duty they are. That's because I am using them to secure the sliding glass doors on our patio. I put one at the very top of the door and one at the very bottom. The springs are strong enough to hold the tightly closed so no more drafts. Plus they hold the door so tightly shut, it adds a level of security that I was looking for. They probably would make good curtain rods too! I would definitely buy them again.

As the package insert disappointingly indicates, if you use two of the three pieces, your maximum length is 44.8 inches; if you use all three pieces, your minimum length is 48.4 inches, leaving any window width range between 44.8 inches and 48.4 inches unserviceable with this rod. Unfortunately, my closet opening is 47 inches wide, so the whole thing is USELESS for me. What a frustrating waste of time! There's really no excuse for this situation, as it would have been easy for the description to clarify the limited range of use for this product - it's right there on the package insert.

Content: These rods appear to be of decent quality and are working for my application. However, to say they are "spring loaded" is an exaggeration. If there is a spring built in it's of very short throw, which is limiting on the degree of compression you can dial in. Once installed they wobble a bit, which is disappointing, though doesn't cause excessive sag for me as I'm spanning just a little over 3 feet (using only 2 of the supplied 3 sections). Overall and for the money I'd say just "OK".
