It’s all plastic, came with a small ring inside the plastic tube to secure the light! After putting it all together and adding water, I was happy with how quiet the motor was and all I can hear is the water! From previous experiences, make sure to keep the water level high enough to cover the motor or else you will be able to hear it running! I add a couple drops of bleach in between cleans to keep the water from getting gross!! I also use a toothbrush to clean, keeping the water flowing smoothly!! I would recommend!!

Content: My previous foundation stopped working and I just wanted something to hear the relaxing sound of falling water without spending a ton of money!! It’s all plastic, came with a small ring inside the plastic tube to secure the light! After putting it all together and adding water, I was happy with how quiet the motor was and all I can hear is the water! From previous experiences, make sure to keep the water level high enough to cover the motor or else you will be able to hear it running! I add a couple drops of bleach in between cleans to keep the water from getting gross!! I also use a toothbrush to clean, keeping the water flowing smoothly!! I would recommend!!

The sound is based on how much water you add, so add enough. It's a plastic material with rocks and a glass ball but with water and all pieces together it's pretty sturdy. Its not too loud or quiet, it's the right amount of background noise. So far so good.
