Title: Azura 16" Log Tongs
Content: First, log lifting tongs, in general, are a fantastic tool. I'm 73 and have had two back surgeries ... this tool is a great equalizer. A few years ago I purchased a pair of vidaXL log tongs. They are exceptionally ergonomic and are great for logs up to 9" in diameter. In fact, I was so please with them that I wanted to buy the same brand for logs measuring from 10" to 16" diameter. However, I was not able to find them. So, I did quite a bit of internet searching for an alternate brand. There were a number of choices. I read many reviews and ultimately ordered the Aruza 16" log tongs. First, understand, many "con" review comments stated: contact points were not sharp enough and the hinge joints were too loose. The OEM must have been paying attention to review comments. Ironically, when I opened the first of two boxes, and reached it to pull out the tongs, one of the point punctured the palm of my workman-like hand. So, be careful if you buy the current version! As to the loose hinge joints ... yes both of my tongs were loose too. No big deal; since, they are nut/bolt fasteners and are easily adjusted. Just make sure to maintain enough joint play to avoid any drag or binding. I also suggest hitting each pivot point with a shot of WD-40. Pros: ~ Quality seems reasonably okay. Cons: ~ Painted finish as opposed to chrome like finish of my other set. ~ Grips are a bit short for someone with bigger hands. Note: my vidaXL tongs handles are long enough to span all four fingers with room to spare.

Title: Well made, a back saver
Content: How did I lift logs prior to this, oh with my back. I have 2 of these. I use 1 when moving rounds after cutting up a tree and use both with another person to move very heavy rounds or logs. So much easier than bending over. Grip is great and with a little jerk the log is released. I would definitely purchase again.

Title: Pretty Good & light weight but wobbly feeling
Content: Likes: wide opening, light weight, inexpensive, fast shipping. Dislikes: feels sloppy / loose which makes it miss picking up small logs. Handle slips right off. I had to glue and clamp it overnight. I rate it 3.5 stars. Overall: It’s light, it’s expensive and grips well when moving larger diameter logs. Clumsy when moving small pieces like firewood before splitting. I don’t need firewood as much as i need to clear my land trees and brush. I would buy it again. Hope this helps.

Title: They work
Content: I have been clearing out pine trees in my woods and these have made it a lot easier. Using two I am able to grab large logs easily or using one to drag out smaller large trees by hand. They come very loose, but that seems to be the best way to use them. I have had no issues with the handle coming off and I have dragged out around 100 6"x8' trees.

Title: 16" Log Tongs - Issues Fixed
Content: I use two 16" grip tongs to lift and load 16 inch long, 6" to 14" diameter, hardwood firewood from the ground into a trailer for hauling. As mentioned by some, these are real back savers. They are ergonomically designed and eliminate the need to bend down that extra 12 inches to scoop up a heavy section of firewood. I could use these all day without hurting my back. With a little practice, I developed a technique for fast releasing of the firewood sections into the trailer. Yes, they arrive loose. Really loose. I am certain that is a design feature that maximizes their grip. I saw zero need to tighten them. The points are now very sharp. The handles showed no sign of movement or falling off. I'm sure the manufacturer saw those older complaints and did some redesign work. I also use Winter, insulated, leather gloves to make the hard grips easier on my arthritic hands. I use two tongs for lifting the larger diameter firewood (14" diameter is the max I tried) and is it possible to use one tong to carry smaller firewood sections, maybe down to 6" - 8" in diameter (see photo), but I do not do that. Even though the title says you can drag logs with these, that is not something I would even consider. These are hand tools, not tractor tools. I wish I had found these decades ago.

Title: Works great but be careful
Content: This is a really nice tool, but there are a few things to know before you buy. This is not a toy and you should be careful even when unboxing. The tongs are very sharp and can puncture you if your not careful. I suggest tightening all bolts because they are a little too loose, a little to floppy. Tightening will make this safer. Unless you have a good grip on the log your moving, it could slip off. If you’re not careful, you could hurt yourself. That said, this was great to move logs and branches that fell around the house. I recommend for this type of work. No safety bag, instructions or warnings. If you have half a brain, this is a great tool for cleanup work around the house. If you’re not mechanically inclined, hire a professional tree service.
