I like that they have full rounded handles so they can't slip out of your hands when using them. The poker is a 2-piece unit that you simply screw together. Trick is you can't actually fully tighten it - the wooden handle spins when I grab the spike on the power side to try to tighten it. I'll have to get some vice-grips and really tighten it down. About that wooden handle - while it's fully lacquered/stained, time will really tell how long it will last outside by a firepit.
