Content: Comparing reviews, I decided on these as an extra Christmas gift for my mom so she could do her face daily without running out of facecloths. I was very pleasantly surprised. These are lovely and soft but not too thick. I didn't want thick ones as they hold so much extra water and don't fold nicely in the closet either. Yes, there are threads that needed to be cut off but not one was sewed badly and the color is holding true after several washes. They even haven't shrunk into strange shapes! I'm mightily impressed.

C*stco’s are thick, with a decorative band across one side, and not as soft. These are thick, fluffy and soft enough to easily use for your face, or a baby. There isn’t a decorative band on one side of the washcloth. I personally don’t like a face cloth with the decorative band on one side. It’s usually a different texture and doesn’t feel as nice when using on face, or baby. The only negative- I had to cut the tags off each cloth- who actually leaves them on?? :)

I try to designate her one washcloth for makeup removal, but that doesn’t always fly. And getting red lipstick out of white cloths is difficult. So when they’re spiked, I throw them away and pull new ones out of the cupboard to replace them. At less than $1 each, it doesn’t even bother me. Pros: Size/texture - hotel quality wash cloths. Very soft and larger than average. Absorbent - holds soap and water well, lathers quickly, great for bathing. Price - at less than $1 per cloth, lipstick stains don’t put me into a panic trying to figure out how to get them clean! Just toss and replace!

Content: At least, you rarely get more than you pay for. I picked these because they were cheap, and well... let's just say I was not surprised. The cotton is cotton, and the workmanship is fine, and the finished size is 12" x 12.5". But they are not plush. What is the opposite of plush? Sparse? The loops are thinner and shorter and not as dense as on a higher-priced washcloth. These are still a good choice if you are going to use them to wipe your face after working in the yard, with sweat, sunscreen, and dirt on your face. Or if you come back from kickboxing with some blood on you. Better to ruin a $0.75 washcloth than a $4 washcloth. Or maybe you will use these for wiping your car windows, instead of an old T-shirt. But you will not want to put these out for your guests (unless you are trying to send a certain message).
