Conclusion

The TRAVELREST Nest Memory Foam Travel Pillow is a solution crafted for avid travelers seeking comfort during long journeys. While it boasts many features tailored for travel ease, such as the ability to compress to a compact size and a design that supports the neck and head, it's not without its disadvantages. Still, for those who find their fit within its design, it could prove to be an invaluable travel companion, transforming tedious trips into opportunities for rest and rejuvenation.

Title: Favorite Neck Pillow!!!
Content: ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!!! I tested out numerous neck pillows & ended up choosing this one. Took it with me on a very long flight (20hrs) to & from Boston to Nepal & it was absolutely fantastic! I was really able to sleep comfortably on the flight. I have neck & upper back trouble, but had none using this pillow for 2 very long flights!! Highly, highly recommend! It also can become pretty compact if you roll it up properly.

Title: Favorite
Content: I bought and returned 4 other neck pillows. I wanted to sleep on an international flight and this did the trick. It held my head - kept it from going side to side although I could have used a little more support in front. Also the Velcro is cheap. Other wise I would recommend! The angled back was the perfect design against the plane seat. The fabric was soft. I could squash it down to put into the drawstring bag that came with it. It’s not tiny but it was the size of two fists. I used an eye mask and ear plugs and slept soundly for 4 straight hours in a cheap coach seat. I will use it again!

Title: Best travel pillow? It is for me.
Content: Bought both of the top recommended ones (wirecutter, cnn, thepointsguy, etc) and this one won out. Used it on flight to/from New Zealand, and got good sleep both ways (this does not happen for me often). Highly recommend.

Title: Neck Brace, but pretty color
Content: The fabric is soft and the support is WAAAY supportive. Like a neck brace. Almost feel like there should be cup holders and floor lamps attached, can't move once in it. That is of course a plus when trying to keep head from drooping over as a passenger on long road trips but it seemed REALLY confinin. But i kept it. Love the blue...

Title: Highly recommend but tough for a shorter neck
Content: Full disclosure, this is the first travel neck pillow that I have bought for myself but I have borrowed plenty of others over the years so it's not my only experience using one. I finally broke down and bought one for my last trip which had 24+ hours flight time each direction and since I was flying economy, I knew I would need some comforts. I had read in other reviews that there is an odor to the pillow at first, which mine also had, so I left it out unfolded on my desk for a few days prior to traveling and had no issues with it after that. For actual use, I was impressed how easy it was to fold down in its bag, it compresses to about the size of a roll of toilet paper and if you read the instructions it's very easy. It also resizes very quickly. On my return trip, it had been bundled up in my bag for about two weeks so I was worried it would take a while to spring back into shape on the plane but I had no problem opening it up and using immediately. Support was great and the shape of it with the flat back and grippy material made it way easier to get some sleep on my 16 hour flight. The downside to this is that I do have a bit of a shorter neck so it was a tight fit. I couldn't easily have headphones or even just earbuds on while wearing it. I was also worried about it being too warm and I'm still on the fence about this. I had no issue with temp on my flight out however coming back I kept getting too warm and having to take it off. This could have had more to do with the human furnace sitting next to me while I was crammed in a middle seat. Overall this was a great purchase and definitely made sleeping in economy easier and a little more comfortable.

Title: A Painful, painful mistake
Content: I had a trip with two long (12+ hr) flights, and figured I would spend a little more than usual on a more premium neck pillow. After reading the reviews, both positive and negative, I went ahead and ordered this one. While the pillow seemed comfortable enough when trying it out at home, it was an absolute pain on my flights. I was literally able to sleep with less pain by using NO pillow. Despite boasting a "flat back," it pushed against the back of the neck quite a bit, causing a lot of neck and shoulder pain that lasted some time after. I tried adjusting it multiple times - maybe I should try lying below the seat's headrest? No. Maybe I should loosen the Velcro closure? Maybe I should tighten it? No and no. This pillow MIGHT work for you if your airline has completely flat seats, or if you plan to sleep at the gate, up against a wall, because then the structure would work great. It's very clearly not worth using on any normal, modern plane, though. I almost feel like the company should pay for a neck massage for me, that's how bad the pain is from this truly disappointing pillow.

Title: Amazing product
Content: Much better support for head and neck than other neck collars.

Title: Too tall and too firm
Content: Bought this because of top reviews but both my son and I found it uncomfortable— while the memory foam idea is good, I felt strangled when using it. It is very tall which is good for supporting your head but it is just too firm to be comfortable.

Title: Good quality, no smell
Content: After trying several bad models I found this. Size is large, you will need a quite long neck for a good fit. Good quality, no smell. For being able to use my Bose headphone a cut out was needed!!

Title: Super comfortable when well positioned
Content: A google search led me to buy this pillow instead of something more pricey like the trtl pillow. I'm really glad and will be using it every time I travel from now on. I first used this on a long haul flight from Europe to the US. At first, it felt like my neck was being pushed forward too much - surprising since the design is meant to combat this. However, I think I was trying to wear the pillow more "horizontally" like other neck pillows. If the grippy surface on the bottom of the pillow is flush with the seat behind you, the pillow sits at a slightly more vertical angle than I had expected. Once it was positioned this way, I fell asleep almost instantly which is very difficult for me on flights. The sides are just high enough that if your head leans to one side or the other it is still comfortable and supported. The velcro strap in front keeps it secure, and the grippy back prevents you from sliding all over the place. The bag it comes with is really handy. As the instructions say, it's not meant for long term storage - just to make it more compact while you are traveling. The instructions show you how to fold the pillow into the bag, which then has velcro straps to compress the pillow into a much smaller size. I was actually able to put the bag into my backpack, when the pillow itself would not have fit. Some people mentioned having trouble getting the pillow into the bag, but I had no such trouble. It's memory foam, so you do have to press and squeeze, but if you follow the instructions you should be okay.
