The raised inner portion and the hemp rope add even more texture. While called white, it coordinates well with beige too. While the string could get loose if played with, and looks nice as-is, it's also great for tucking in a few leaves or a small flower. The part that unfolds and props the frame up is thick and holds even the 8x10 frame well. I like the plexiglass. It can get scratched, but at least it won't shatter if the frame gets bonked. The plastic film is a bit tricky to separate from it, but you only do that once. It comes with hanging hardware attached, a little plastic hanger to put on the wall, and a lint free cloth. It smells faintly of sawdust.

The acrylic comes protected with a white film on both sides that needs to be peeled off. The MDF wooden frame is a high-quality wood material. It can be used either horizontally or vertically. The cut indenting the corners along with the strand of jute add a very nice, somewhat rustic touch that can add context to a photo or fit the frame into the right room. The frame comes with a hanger that will work fine in a sheetrock wall (but not a plaster wall; not sure about wood). Also, a lint free cloth comes with this to wipe the acrylic (which is covered with a peel off plastic sheet). I plan on saving the cloth - it's the kind that can also be used to clean eyeglasses! The frame also has sturdy looking sliding tabs to keep the back on, two different hanging ridges attached (so that the frame can be hung vertically or horizontally), and a stand well attached to the backing. This is a good buy!
