Both were better than pictured. 100% Polyester Rib knit cuffs keep drafts out of sleeves. Both say machine wash, cold water, do not tumble dry. * *I have tumble-dried both on medium or low heat with no problem. Definitely use a dryer sheet to prevent static electricity. Differences: Oodie is two separate layers: one of fake sherpa and one of fashion, warm plush. Oodie is very well-made with flat-fell seams, worked separately on each layer. Having two separate layers will better trap body heat in air pockets, keeping you warmer. CozyStar has a double-sided fabric: one side of fake sherpa and one of fashion, warm plush. The seams are serged on CozyStar. Slightly scratchy to the touch, but honestly, you will never feel them from within the voluminous mounds of fluffy softness. Oodie's front pocket is stitched across the top. CozyStar's pocket has a large, gap into which you can snuggle a pet - as pictured. *I didn't give much thought to the pocket when I made the purchase. I don't have a lap pet, so my Cozy Star pocket top gapes open with no way to close it. This is only a very tiny annoyance - not at all a deal-breaker. Oodie is about one size larger than the CozyStar. As a plus size person, my regular clothing is 3-4X. Both of these products fit me with a great amount of "ease" (that's a sewing term for the distance between your body and the fabric.) If your normal size is any larger than a 6x, you might like to contact Oodie directly to ask about the possibility of getting a larger size made. They are a super-friendly company. I love it just for keeping myself warm! I'm a women's 3X/24 and this is very roomy. I'd say it would comfortably fit a 4X person with a pet, maybe a 5X person without a pet. My cats are in the 12-16lb range and fit easily, but this pocket is LOW on the body, if I sit upright with cat in pocket, the pocket hangs down between my thighs and her head is almost fully below navel level. So I wouldn't walk with a pet in the pocket, but other than that it is pure comfort. Wish there was more colors.
