Content: Have used similar for cleaning out dryer vents and that worked well so tried this for chimney/insert cleaning. First use was after 5 years of occasional wood burning and visible there was not a lot of visible build up but it did result in bring out and down debris. Simply plug into your drill and feeding it up the chimney attaching more lengths as needed. What came with this was more than sufficient for the height of our chimney single store with high ceiling and tall roof line. In comparing it to the type used to clean dryer vents the bristles are much more heavy duty but not as thick so it seems a little flimsy or over flexible in sue compared to the smaller thicker bristles of the dryer type so took a little adjusting to get used to the use and feel of this product. It worked well and helps with cleaning out the insert.

Content: Good quality product that works well. I only have 2 small issues that kept me from giving 5 stars. First, the connection/release buttons are stiff and can stick, making separation of the rods a bit difficult. Have to get a screwdriver and press hard to fully depress to point where it will release/separate. Second, storage is clunky. The bag provided is nice, but there is nothing helpful to store smaller parts such as the adapter/bit that insets into your drill that turns the cleaning head. Would suggest a small Velcro or zipper pouch as part of the outside of the storage bag.

Content: After getting burned twice by "certified chimney sweep" ads, I decided to take matters in my own hands. I have 30+ years experience in the fire service and am extremely familiar with fireplaces, chimneys, etc. but always paid an FD buddy to sweep my chimney every year. He retired 2 years ago so I tried responding to ads. Both times I got an unsavory (and UNLICENSED) character who simply wanted to rip me off. NO MORE! The VEVOR chimney sweep kit is a high quality, durable piece of equipment that does the job easily and completely. For less than the cost of a REAL cleaning by a REAL chimney sweep I can now do it myself anytime it's needed. A caveat: If you aren't familiar with chimney cleaning, but would like to try it yourself watch a few of the many videos on YouTube before you get started. But by all means if you hire a chimney sweep, be sure they really are certified, licensed and insured before allowing them to touch your stuff! Demand to see proof!

Content: I’m very pleased with my new chimney sweep. Unlike the old steel bristles of my traditional sweep which by the way is difficult to raise up and down in my stainless chimney liner, this new sweep has tough weed eater strings that beat off the creosote by spinning the string head attached to your drill. It’s so fast it actually takes longer to set up and disassemble than it does to clean. It also cleans BETTER than the steel brush I’ve been using for the last 17 years. Worth every penny!

Content: Used this kit cleaning my 30ft flu from above. The detent coupling let go at 24 ft dropping everything to the bottom. I had to remove my stove to retrieve and up-clean the bottom 6 feet. Not a disaster but something to consider...the detents are not strong enough for reliable top-down use. In fairness they did not show it being used from above but didn't warn not to use it from above...so don't on tall flues.

Content: Worked exactly as described. Used it to clean a very tall chimney with tall pipes.and steep roof pitch. Connected to drill easily, detach is easy used as directed no breaking of rods. Seems adequate quality for the job at hand saved hundreds of dollars to pay someone to climb my roof. Manufacture says to clean stove every two months of use which would cost me $2000 Very happy. I needed seven rods to reach the top. However, I bought the 10 rod package because I wanted three extra rods in case one did break along the way. good product and the price is great.
Title: Works well but do not use the cloth rubber gloves supplied
Content: The product worked as advertised. I had two issues with it, they are. The cloth rubber faced gloves should not be used because they will stick to the rotating shafts causing severe injuries to the hand. Use leather gloves that will slide while guiding the spinning shafts. Creosote covered shafts will cause the supplied rubber palmed gloves to adhere to the spinning shaft wrapping your fingers around the shaft. Very painful dislocation resulted. The second issue was the drill adapter ball bearing catch. It sticks in the locked position and cannot be released with the tool supplied. Light tapping with a screw driver handle freed the catch. Lightly lubricating the ball bearing snap lock may address this.
