Content: Our wood stove came with an electric fan. It was fairly noisy. This item was suggested to us by other wood stove users - and for good reason. It is efficient in gently circulating the heat and is totally quiet. No electric required!

Content: The fan comes on at around 150° and runs silently through the burn. It does not move a great deal of air but there is definitely air flow. I would recommend putting two of these on your woodstove to get the best flow. These are very well made and should last for many years.

Content: I have a wood stove in my family room, which has a high ceiling. I needed to get the air to blow out straight and fast enough to not rise but get into my adjoining room. This fan does that. Plus, if we lose power and the blower goes out, this fan will help heat the room. Great product. Works as described.

Content: The item looks very nice and once it is up to temp it begins to spin. The problem is there is almost no air flow. The amount of air that it circulates is close to the same amount as when you breath out. This could be improved by changing the angle of the blades but feel there was no R&D and the plan was to make it look good. Additionally the magnetic thermometer that came with the product is defective and will not go over 200 F. To make sure it wasn’t the stove I bought another thermometer and used a heat gun to double check. When the stove reads 500F the thermometer still reads 200F. I do not recommend this item to anyone even if the price is free

Content: I see reviews saying it doesn't move much air. While that's true, it does move /enough/ to make it noticeably warmer on the opposite side of the room. I.e., the heat spreads to where we sit more quickly than waiting for it to rise, fill the top of the room, and then fill the room from the top down. So it does exactly what we wanted it to. Pros: -Spreads the heat across the room more quickly than it would spread naturally, without noise and without needing electricity. -Price was in the right range that I was looking for. -It's neat that it works without power. It just starts spinning when it heats up! Cons: -I was surprised that the fan doesn't have a magnet built into the bottom. I plan to add one myself to make sure we don't end up bumping it off the stove and damaging it. -The included thermometer was easily broken by my children simply pushing the pointer. I wish it had a glass cover over the dial to prevent accidental damage.
