Title: Surprisingly Good
Content: I was very nicely surprised by how well and simple this was to set up and operate. It has little features not described that are handy. The accuracy that I've checked with an IR thermometer is very accurate as advertised. First they troubleshooted with me to make sure I was doing what I needed correctly. When we were still having trouble, they sent out a new unit! I was impressed. We received the new unit and it worked perfectly. Once we had it a day or two to acclimate (at least that’s what I thought we should do). It worked perfectly. We put the outside unit in our screen room. It is pretty accurate, maybe a degree or two off at times. But who is perfect?! We live in the north and had snow recently. It was pretty accurate! I love the fact that the indoor unit is easy to see and even shows you what the indoor temp is! That’s a plus for me. It tells you when you need a new battery too! Love this. No need to go outside!! I believe this is definitely a must buy, totally worth the money.

The accuracy that I've checked with an IR thermometer is very accurate as advertised. I am highly educated and studied weather, and I still don't know how this think is actually forecasting the 12 hour weather quite well. I believe it is exceeding it's published 70% accuracy. I don't know if it's measuring things (like atmospheric pressure) it does not display; but it does a great job. Make sure you find a sun-neutral place for it and it's best to mount it somewhere where direct rain won't hit it. The display is clear and the light comes on with a simple touch. First they troubleshooted with me to make sure I was doing what I needed correctly. When we were still having trouble, they sent out a new unit! I was impressed. We received the new unit and it worked perfectly. Once we had it a day or two to acclimate (at least that’s what I thought we should do). It worked perfectly. We put the outside unit in our screen room. It is pretty accurate, maybe a degree or two off at times. But who is perfect?! We live in the north and had snow recently. It was pretty accurate! I love the fact that the indoor unit is easy to see and even shows you what the indoor temp is! That’s a plus for me. It tells you when you need a new battery too! Love this. No need to go outside!! I believe this is definitely a must buy, totally worth the money.

The accuracy that I've checked with an IR thermometer is very accurate as advertised. I am highly educated and studied weather, and I still don't know how this think is actually forecasting the 12 hour weather quite well. I believe it is exceeding it's published 70% accuracy. I don't know if it's measuring things (like atmospheric pressure) it does not display; but it does a great job. Make sure you find a sun-neutral place for it and it's best to mount it somewhere where direct rain won't hit it. The display is clear and the light comes on with a simple touch. Overall, really one of my better purchases.

I found this unit is better than the ThermPro in the INDOOR humidity reading while the Outdoor humidity and both indoor and outdoor temperature readings are consistent between them. First I compare both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity readings with both the Head unit and Outdoor sensor sitting side by side inside the house. The temperature readings are within 0.5F while the humidity are within 10% - eg Outdoor is 44% while indoor is 40%. This is significantly better than the ThermPro unit where the difference between indoor and outdoor readings could be as high as 100% e.g. Outdoor is 35% while indoor is 17%. The next test is to place both outdoor units outside the house and under the eve, both units gave the similar temperature and humidity readings and these readings are very close to what the online Microsoft Weather page showed. Accuracy aside, I found the display is very easy to read, big fonts and good contrast. It also has a backlit button for night reading if necessary. The only minor issue is with the Weather prediction feature which is not very accurate. I live in southern California where rain is a luxury to have and this unit had predicted rain for the entire week since I had it and not once rain or even drizzle ever came. This to me is not a show stopper as I only care about the temperature reading more than anything else.

I set mine to display heat index but dew point and a mold indicator are also available. We received the new unit and it worked perfectly. Once we had it a day or two to acclimate (at least that’s what I thought we should do). It worked perfectly. We put the outside unit in our screen room. It is pretty accurate, maybe a degree or two off at times. But who is perfect?! We live in the north and had snow recently. It was pretty accurate! I love the fact that the indoor unit is easy to see and even shows you what the indoor temp is! That’s a plus for me. It tells you when you need a new battery too! Love this. No need to go outside!!
