It looks great though, is durable; I got a pack of 10 & each has a mat frame, the backing, and a clear bag to slip each one in- PERFECT for transporting competition pieces to and from! You can buy these individually at your local stores, but they will be more expensive and won’t come in a pack of several, and if you go to a store with a framer and have them cut and put your picture inside (even using the same material that these are!) it will cost up to $20-$30 so this is an excellent deal, well worth it! It was all packed up nicely and packed carefully in delivery and was delivered in a timely manner. Will definitely save this for future competitions- and maybe even to mat and frame our own pictures on the walls in our house!

White, looked sturdy, were sold as a kit to frame your finest or your pictures of the family until they go away. And that's another great thing about these, using some photographers tape, the collection can be altered to fit your mood or the weather or who's dropping by. They are sturdy card stock, with a neatly beveled cut in as well as a stiff paper backing and, best of all, a bag to put them in for storage or shipping or just to hang on the wall giving the object to be framed a strange, otherworldly look. Nor are you limited to pictures. I have a nautilus shell that was cut in half and so up it goes, nicely framed. So you always want, when you take or crop your photo, to account for that. There is always going to be a margin covered up on all four sides so that the mat sits properly over the work of art. I expected the backing to be more of a foam backing, but it is more like a hard cardboard type of backing (like what a normal backing is on a picture frame) but that’s fine, I’m only mentioning it to let people know it is slightly less thick than a foam backing. It looks great though, is durable; I got a pack of 10 & each has a mat frame, the backing, and a clear bag to slip each one in- PERFECT for transporting competition pieces to and from! You can buy these individually at your local stores, but they will be more expensive and won’t come in a pack of several, and if you go to a store with a framer and have them cut and put your picture inside (even using the same material that these are!) it will cost up to $20-$30 so this is an excellent deal, well worth it! It was all packed up nicely and packed carefully in delivery and was delivered in a timely manner. Will definitely save this for future competitions- and maybe even to mat and frame our own pictures on the walls in our house!

White, looked sturdy, were sold as a kit to frame your finest or your pictures of the family until they go away. And that's another great thing about these, using some photographers tape, the collection can be altered to fit your mood or the weather or who's dropping by. They are sturdy card stock, with a neatly beveled cut in as well as a stiff paper backing and, best of all, a bag to put them in for storage or shipping or just to hang on the wall giving the object to be framed a strange, otherworldly look. Nor are you limited to pictures. I have a nautilus shell that was cut in half and so up it goes, nicely framed. These may seem a trifle pricey but when you've shopped for modestly priced framed you'll find you're looking for either the lost chord or the missing link. Too, this could be covered in fabric, wall covering, painted, decoupaged....handy as a pocket on a shirt or a wall that needed something to perk it up. And here they are! I know I'll be buying more as my romance with my copier is an ongoing thing even though friends have, tactfully, suggested that now that I've covered all the walls in two rooms with pictures, perhaps I might take a pause. And I will. To put them in frames.

The mat and backing is sturdy and looks quite professional. I've had to rebuy more mats numerous times now - so they are definitely selling. The buyers are quite pleased with what they are getting. And the low cost means I can price things to sell at "town common festivals" and other places where pricey items wouldn't get much traction. Highly recommended. A note for those who are new to matting their works. If a mat is designed for a 8x10 print THE HOLE IS SMALLER THAN 8x10!!!! Otherwise you would see the edges of the print (or painting or whatever) at the edges. There is always, always, an overlap with a mat, which is the way a mat is supposed to work. So you always want, when you take or crop your photo, to account for that. There is always going to be a margin covered up on all four sides so that the mat sits properly over the work of art. Ask with any questions!

I expected the backing to be more of a foam backing, but it is more like a hard cardboard type of backing (like what a normal backing is on a picture frame) but that’s fine, I’m only mentioning it to let people know it is slightly less thick than a foam backing. It looks great though, is durable; I got a pack of 10 & each has a mat frame, the backing, and a clear bag to slip each one in- PERFECT for transporting competition pieces to and from! You can buy these individually at your local stores, but they will be more expensive and won’t come in a pack of several, and if you go to a store with a framer and have them cut and put your picture inside (even using the same material that these are!) it will cost up to $20-$30 so this is an excellent deal, well worth it! It was all packed up nicely and packed carefully in delivery and was delivered in a timely manner. Will definitely save this for future competitions- and maybe even to mat and frame our own pictures on the walls in our house!
