Content: To install this rod, you need to measure your bath and twist the correct sized poles together until you get to the desired length. After we measured and began threading the pieces together, the rod poles only went half way together. We tried swapping out the other pieces provided, switching up the pattern, thinking that might help. After examination, the pole threads were installed uneven during manufacturing. Think of a screw leaning at a 45 degree angle when the hole you’re trying to put it in is straight. It doesn’t work. We needed a shower rod ASAP so we tried troubleshooting. We ended up spraying the uneven threads with WD-40 and with a wrench and rubber grip, and after about 5 minutes of trying, were able to completely remove the thread from the two rods (that probably shouldn’t even happen) and were able to slip them back into the hole to make them straight and able to thread evenly into the other bar. The rod looks nice now that it was hung but you can tell the manufacturing was rushed and there was no quality control to make sure the rod threads were even and able to fit within one another. I can understand if it was one bar that was bent but the fact that it was two and the product arrived in a box protecting against damage from shipping, makes me think a lot of other customers will have this same issue.

After we measured and began threading the pieces together, the rod poles only went half way together. We tried swapping out the other pieces provided, switching up the pattern, thinking that might help. After examination, the pole threads were installed uneven during manufacturing. Think of a screw leaning at a 45 degree angle when the hole you’re trying to put it in is straight. It doesn’t work. We needed a shower rod ASAP so we tried troubleshooting. We ended up spraying the uneven threads with WD-40 and with a wrench and rubber grip, and after about 5 minutes of trying, were able to completely remove the thread from the two rods (that probably shouldn’t even happen) and were able to slip them back into the hole to make them straight and able to thread evenly into the other bar. The rod looks nice now that it was hung but you can tell the manufacturing was rushed and there was no quality control to make sure the rod threads were even and able to fit within one another. I can understand if it was one bar that was bent but the fact that it was two and the product arrived in a box protecting against damage from shipping, makes me think a lot of other customers will have this same issue.

Content: Overall, it's a nice rod that looks good, feels strong, has very good tension, and is secure. One star is taken away because the ridges of the assembled pieces that make up the rod create bumps and stops for the curtain rings, making sliding the curtain less smooth than my previous rod that consisted of just two halves. I ordered this as a replacement rod for a sheer curtain, but the ends are larger than I expected, and you have to screw the rods themselves together. It works fine, but the ends are just a little large for the area I used it in. I should have researched it a bit more, but otherwise, it's solid. I'll keep using this, but if I have to replace it, I'll try another model in the future.

Content: To install this rod, you need to measure your bath and twist the correct sized poles together until you get to the desired length. After we measured and began threading the pieces together, the rod poles only went half way together. We tried swapping out the other pieces provided, switching up the pattern, thinking that might help. After examination, the pole threads were installed uneven during manufacturing. Think of a screw leaning at a 45 degree angle when the hole you’re trying to put it in is straight. It doesn’t work. We needed a shower rod ASAP so we tried troubleshooting. We ended up spraying the uneven threads with WD-40 and with a wrench and rubber grip, and after about 5 minutes of trying, were able to completely remove the thread from the two rods (that probably shouldn’t even happen) and were able to slip them back into the hole to make them straight and able to thread evenly into the other bar. The rod looks nice now that it was hung but you can tell the manufacturing was rushed and there was no quality control to make sure the rod threads were even and able to fit within one another. I can understand if it was one bar that was bent but the fact that it was two and the product arrived in a box protecting against damage from shipping, makes me think a lot of other customers will have this same issue.

Content: I replaced the shower rod that my apartment building gave me in my shower, as it was too short and fell down. This curtain rod is a good tension rod that fits just above the tile placement in my shower and is now firmly in place. I find it to be good build quality. I don't know about rest resistance because I haven't gotten it wet. It suits my purpose and holds my shower curtain in place and I don't have to worry about it falling down in the middle of the night. Very lightweight, looks great in my bathroom. I had it up in place within 10 minutes after screwing the parts together; the instructions help you guesstimate how many of the pieces you will need if you don’t have a measuring tape. It’s been up for over a week now. No problems, very sturdy, stays in place and keeps the curtain and liner up with no issues. Looks great, too. Very happy with this purchase, great value and, yes, literally anyone can install it. Without any tools!
