Content: Very good product, more or less uniformly thick pieces and burn very nicely, I will use 3-6 pieces usually along with my kindling to get the fire going without problem. Kindling is key and the fatwood is key to getting the kindling going in a very short time. These are chuinky pieces not like some other brands that are all mish mashes of sizes and splinters, these are solid. Bought two 25 pound boxes which is more than enough to last the burn season. Will buy again.

Content: I was becoming very frustrated with starting the woodstove from a cold start. The kindling and paper would just smolder and smoke would smother out whatever flames I might have had. After warming the flue with a heat gun, I now use 3-4 of these Fatwood sticks in addition to my small kindling pieces and some paper. The sap in the Fatwood ignites easily and stays burning. More flame and less smoke. These burn hot and fast allowing you to build a nice fire quickly. No more having to explain to the alarm company that they do NOT need to dispatch the Fire Department!!! I will NOT start a fire without this product if I can help it.

These are safe to use in indoor fireplaces since they are 100% natural wood with pine sap resin. No wax or other chemicals. There are other brands, but I’ve purchased this brand for 3 years now since the brands are all the same (southern yellow pine) and this companie’s price is reasonable. Good product!
