Content: While not perfect, it's an excellent investment. We have A/C issues and high ceilings and we bought this to cover the worst windows to help bring the temperature down. We bought the black silver tint. The most immediate difference I could tell was the temperature on the carpet where the sunlight was hitting went down drastically. As for the window itself, the dimming is sufficient while still allowing a comfortable amount of light into the room. It won't black out the window but it's similar to having shade trees in front of them, or like when the sun is setting in the evening. It's like having sunglasses as windows. No complaints there. But this is definitely a two person job to install. Measuring and cutting is simple and straightforward but the challenge is sticking it to the window without getting air pockets. It's a catch 22. It sticks to the window easily and I don't think I'll have issues with it falling off. But the strong cling to the window makes it tricky to slide around and adjust or straighten out once in contact. If you need to readjust, I recommend peeling it off and try again. This is where it helps to have help. Take your time lining it up and sticking a little at a time, limiting as many air pockets as you can, and the better it will look and the less bubbles you'll have to push out. We were able to remove most of the air pockets with a cloth, but you're inevitably still going to have a few here or there. It's not a big problem with the blinds down but the imperfections are more noticeable from the outside. First impressions with a few air pockets, soapy bubbles, and darker windows was that it felt like we were looking out the windows of a submarine. From the outside, it provides privacy during the day (kinda looks like smooth tinfoil on the outside, or a mirror), but I'd still keep the blinds closed at night. All in all, I feel like the tint will serve its purposes as a product, but it comes down to the buyer to install it neatly. I think it will pay for itself in time in energy cost. It doesn't take long to put up at all but that depends on how big of an area you're covering. We'll see in time how much it keeps the heat at bay.

Content: DISCLAIMER: I hate what Jeff Bezos is doing to the safety & well-being of his workers and if I lived anywhere with physical stores that stocked supplies like this I’d be thrilled to put money ANYWHERE else. But for those of us in rural areas who need to know about a low-cost product to keep energy costs low, here you go. AFFECT ON TEMP: My kitchen windows are single-pane non-UV glass and it reaches 120°F at the worst point in summers. I’ve applied several window film types in the past elsewhere (anti-shatter, holographic, etc) and this film is by far the easiest to apply. The temperature difference in the kitchen feels like at least 8-10° after covering the windows. AFFECT ON VIEWS/LIGHT: I’m an artist and hyper-specific about color and would hate this if it threw a weird tone onto everything. I got the silver kind, and while it does block a ton of heat, it does not block too much light. There is a slight blue-ish tone to the sunlight compared to before, but it’s calming and doesn’t look fake or fluorescent-like. APPLICATION: 1) Clean your windows multiple times with both vinegar solution and 50/50 rubbing alcohol and water. Think lab-level clean. It really helps. 2) To apply large pieces, use two people. The only annoying thing about this material is that you can crease or put half-moon shape dents in it when unrolling, so it really helps to have a partner or buy extra. Cut to about an inch large on each side but not more. 3) You can use 2 pieces of painters tape on top to hold the piece on, and then peel the inside film off with the window film hanging in position. 4) spray on a lot of barely-soapy water to both the inside of the film AND the window (like half a squirt/tsp of soap in an entire spray bottle) 5) use a rubber squeegee (not included) or a plastic ruler with the edge covered in painters tape to prevent scratching (like I did) to squeegee out bubbles from top to bottom and outwards from the middle towards each side. Pro tip: bumpy terrible windows like my multiple paned ones will likely have remaining bubbles on the sides and that is the fault of the glass, not the film. It’s fine. Perfection is an impossible goal. As for the nice window on the door, that one came out pretty close. One or two tiny half moon dents. Highly recommend, sadly even with the consequences of supporting this late-stage-capitalism death-eater in the process.

Content: I'm very impressed with this product. I installed the film over two large (70" x 30") patio doors by myself. I did a few tricks to make it possible to do it with one person. I also spent about 3 times longer on the prep than on the actual installation. (Here's what I did from start to finish: Cleaned the windows and surrounding area to ensure no dust. Cut the film to oversize, duct-taped it in place on the top of the window frame. Peeled off the backing. Used tons and tons of very slightly soapy water for the initial adhere. Put the peeled backing back onto the inside of the film for protection using lots more soapy water. Did a rough burnish with a rubber squeegee. Did a fine burnish with a burnisher. Did a rough cut of all the extra. Did a fine cut with X-acto knife and straight edge. Did a final fine burnish.) The final install is flawless - no bubbles, no distortion, good adherence. I got the silver film because I didn't want to lose too much light. You do lose some light, but the daytime privacy and lack of distortion is impressive!

Content: Die Spiegelfolie ist seit 6 Wochen an mehreren Fenstern auf der Außenseite angebracht. Es hat seit dem viel geregnet, gestürmt und gehagelt. Die Folie haftet trotzdem anstanslos wie am ersten Tag, obwohl sie nicht verklebt ist sondern nur durch Statik an der Fensterscheibe haftet. Die Anbringen war relativ leicht, die Folie ist stabil und etwas dicker als typische Billigfolien.

Content: Positiv ist zu vermerken, dass die Folie wirklich sehr dick ist, das macht einen guten Eindruck. Allerdings ist der Begriff Spiegel hier deutlich überstrapaziert. Man kann von einem metallischen Effekt sprechen, wie die Spiegelung eines Bleches. Aber spiegeln kann man sich darin definitiv nicht und dafür ist es zu teuer. Da ich dachte, dass noch eine Schutzfolie darauf wäre und ich es deshalb zugeschnitten habe, kann ich es praktischerweise nicht zurück schicken
