I placed a piece of paper in front of the blades and the paper did not move. I thought maybe the blades were pushing air out of the other side…. Nope. Totally ineffective and being returned. Also, it took weeks for the fan to be delivered.

Content: My wood burner is in the basement. 9’H x 64’L x 26’ W. I had an electric blower attached to the heat chase on the back of the stove. The bearings died and it was not much more than an unpleasant noise. I bought this to replace that blower. This works better than the blower ever did. The heat distribution is more even throughout the entire basement and my lp furnace cycles less upstairs. For $35, I suspect I am saving some serious coin in the long game. Did I mention that this thing is silent? Big plus. Very effective investment. NOTE: In answer to all those who say this fan doesn’t move the air. It doesn’t work like a conventional fan. If it blows out a match, it would be cooling the surface of the stove. This fan works by making a mild air stream flow over the surface of the stove. Think gentle air current as opposed to an out and out gale force wind. Liken it to wind chill factor in reverse. I hope that explains it. It works.

Wasn’t sure this was going to work but so happy it does not really an eyesore, it really does blend in from any distance and you don’t feel the fan blowing in your face but it does gently rotate the heat and I can notice that the previous warm spot in front of the fireplace doesn’t have a harsh border where it ends and noticeably gets cold!

Content: Due to frequent power outages I was really hopeful that this fan would help to distribute heat from our stove. We placed this on top of our stove and within 5 min the blades were at a solid fast spin. As others have shown - the air was not being pushed. I placed a piece of paper in front of the blades and the paper did not move. I thought maybe the blades were pushing air out of the other side…. Nope. Totally ineffective and being returned. Also, it took weeks for the fan to be delivered.
